I have no problem with it. I tried it once a few years ago, and I hated it. I had a really weird reaction to it, and I will never do it again; however, I know other people that really enjoy it.
It’s like getting too drunk for the first time. If you take far too much it won’t be pleasurable and your mind will remember. Also, different strains tap into different receptors which can give completely different effects from paranoia to comfortable sleepiness.
I didn't do very much at all. It was a vape pen cartridge thing. I'm not sure what strain it was or anything.
Basically, I felt like my brain was only a little bit impaired, but it had completely taken over my body. I couldn't control my body or even speak properly. A sentence would sound normal in my head, but it would come out in pieces. I felt completely panicked..... like I was trapped inside my own body and couldn't control it. I would start laughing at something, and then I would start panicking that I would never be able to stop laughing. I remember being terrified my husband would divorce me because I sounded so stupid because I could barely form a sentence. Time seemed to stretch on forever and ever and I thought I would never go back to normal. It was a horrible feeling. Once I started to come down and got control of my body back like an hour later I felt better. And then I ate the most delicious tomatoes in the entire universe. It was like I had never really tasted food before. Then I went to bed and my entire body got itchy and I randomly broke out in hives for the next 2 weeks so I actually wonder if I'm allergic to it. And that's the story of the first and last time I ever smoked pot. The end.
Vape pens are infused with glycerin or other oils to facilitate burning. Without it, the cannabis oil won’t turn to vapor. This is why many people despise the pens. Also, you’re describing the worst effects of THC, paranoia. These over concentrated smoking methods are antithetical to the common recreational use, IMO.
The trick is only taking just enough to get to the “most delicious tomatoes in the universe” spot and no more. I’m a seasoned veteran when it comes to cannabis and even for me the newest strain hybrids are simply not as pleasurable as the “grandaddy” strains of decades past. They are over powered by the THC and too little of the balancing CBD’s are eliminated. It’s no wonder you had an aggressive experience.
Just for giggles, were you already drinking alcohol when you hit the pen? That will exacerbate the effects in a huge way.
That's so interesting! I barely had any... maybe 2 decent inhales and a few lighter ones, and no I wasn't drinking alcohol. My sister had twice as much as me and she only hit the chill out tomatoes are delicious state.
I do have to say I am extremely sensitive to any medications. I can feel half a glass of wine, if I have caffeine after 3 pm I can't sleep. 1 cup of coffee makes my heart rate go through the roof and sent me to the cardiologist in my 20's because I freaked my doctor out lol. I always get side effects from medication.... even super rare ones which is why I avoid medication like the plague.
Thanks for sharing your expertise. I'm honestly too scared of having a repeat experience to ever try it again. I hated the feeling I got THAT much, and the itchy hives afterwards was horrible. I'd rather just get a little tipsy and call it good lol
