Screw the petition! Call the session yourselves! Pretend like you have one nut among ALL of you and stop making gestures!

Exactly. The other best witness at the Georgia hearing last week was the professor who specializes in constitution law that explained this.

They do not. The federal constitution trumps any state constitution. The legislature can take back authority at any time with a simple majority. They don't need a special session

murph1953 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bingo, The Constitution does not say the Governor has to permit it.

GA citizens should be targeting the most conservative-leaning Dems in the state legislature offering them support on their favorite causes, bills, appointments, whatever in exchange for supporting Trump now, while also reminding them of what is going to happen to anyone that stands in Trump's way.

maybe they try to do it the nice way, then if they are stopped (revealing more traitors), they will force it?

Fluffy_Indigo 12 points ago +12 / -0

No more being nice. GOP is only ever nice and it's usually to pacify patriots and throw them under the bus. We need warriors, with balls and the guts to use the legal frameworks we've given them to save the republic.

I’m not that patient. Or that nice, either, I guess! Hope you’re right!!!

Even though GA state law require gov. Or 3/5 for special session, the US Constitution would trump that and a simple majority can call special session.

11
Mangomangomango89 11 points ago +11 / -0

They don't even need to call a "special session". They can just meet.

MakeAmericaWinAgain 6 points ago +6 / -0

Correct

5
Ben45 5 points ago +5 / -0

simple majority, wouldn't that be for US Congress, not GA senate

2
Patriot20800 2 points ago +2 / -0

No. Not when the state election laws were not followed.

A state better flip by the end of today...

5
LibertarianWalkz 5 points ago +5 / -0

Which one do you think it's likely to be?

15
tremendous_trump2020 15 points ago +15 / -0

I think GA will be the first to flip. GA is a true RED state, not a swing state ike the others so their citizens know the election was rigged and they want justice.

The left would just convene instead of a silly petition. When will Republicans grow a pair?

They need 3/5ths of the legislature for it to pass and Republicans are 5 seats short in the Georgia House. Zero Dems will back this.

3
infojunkie07 3 points ago +3 / -0

let me guess - petition denied?

2
concealedaces 2 points ago +2 / -0

If you read it it is more than a petition. They said they are going to do it but would like the governors help. They are going into session regardless. Also they don't need to go into session to fix it and select electors, only to continue to gather evidence. Constitutional obligation trumps state law and policy in this matter

2
NeverGiveUpTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

You need a petition to go to work? WTF?

2
learntocode 2 points ago +2 / -0

We were all meme'd to thinking Special Sessions was the head of the DOJ but LITTLE DID WE KNOW ...!!!!

2
BabbleRabble 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fuck the State House.... Just convene on the front lawn of the Govemors mansion.

2
AnotherPedeInTheWall 2 points ago +2 / -0

Just perhaps, it will be the South that saves this republic from a Civil War this time?

This better not be more political theater by more RINOs!

Well, its just four senators. They need 3/5 of the members of each house to make this happen. Looks like 37 Republicans in the Senate, 34 are needed. In the House they need 108, there are 115 Republicans. So technically possible, but all it would take would be a few traitors to derail it.

Keep on calling the REPS to move their a$$es, and shove the news about the tabulating machine flipping votes in Ware County.
