No, because he could not ascend to the Presidency, should that need arise.

To my knowledge you have to be eligible to be president to become vice president, so no

I think the man giving 8 years of his life to MAGA is enough.

This is a legit Constitutional Scholar question. The way the 12th Amendment reads, no person may be ELECTED President more than twice.

no otherwise Obumma would have be joes. A president can only hold ofice for 8 years if he were vice when president died he would be in office more than 8 years.

It really depends on how you interpret certain words in both the 12th and 22nd Amendments.

The 12th Amendment states that "no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of president shall be eligible to that of vice president of the United States." Some argue that he is not electable not inelligle. inelliebity would be age, foreign born and others.

The 22nd Amendment states that no one can be elected to the office of president more than twice. The keyword here is "elected." If Trump were the VP and something happened to the sitting President, He could serve as President without being elected.

if something were to happen all you need to do is slide the Speaker of the house into the President leaving the vp in the same position. It All comes down to do you believe in the LETTER of the Constitution or more of the SPIRIT.

This is a really well documented question about eligibility for office...

One could argue that yes he could because reasons, but the max I believe he'd be allowed to resume duties is 2 years more (for 10 max)

The other side would argue that the a former president would be ineligible to become president thus making him ineligible for vice president

Can you imagine how crazy the left would become if trump tried to pull this one off after his second term?

That would be great but I also am okay if Trump starts to retire after his 4 years. He deserves to enjoy the beautiful country he will be leaving us with

Isn’t mike pence kinda retired as Vice President? He’s not really doing much at least not much in public and i doubt that trump can retire it’s just not in him

I expected more from Pence. Hes a quiet sidekick for sure. If Trump wants to continue, I would love that but if he wants to start retiring, Im cool too. 🙂
