Yep. People who say it isn't real or isn't any type of a problem are either shills or are falling for the ruse.
The play is simple. It's a mostly non lethal virus that only affects the already compromised and the way we should respond is by protecting those people and keeping everything fucking open. The left just uses scare tactics.
Not as many downvotes as me trying to explain to people here why executing a bunch of 14 year old larping antifa because "muh 1776" is, wrong.
Responses ranged from "you are a commie sympathizer and should be executed with them", to "they are the equivalent to Chinese forces acutally landing on our soil and killing people" and of course good old "kill yourself".
I swear most of these responses had to be shills, but I also know that some of the people on this site are really bad people. Even if they do support our president.
The numbers in that link contradict what you're saying. The values for 2020 are much higher than the ones it shows on 2019, even though they only cover up to June and don't account for the current spike.
Even then, the excess mortality when you compare the two data sets on the link you sent is around 6% higher in 2020 vs 2019, with around 200,000 extra deaths.
Do you have any idea how many things go into those numbers and what all the factors are? Just stop. You are not a data scientist. What you are doing is not science, it's just guesswork.

First of all, when you make a claim and do not cite your evidence, it's your responsibility to do so. Tacitly implying the other party is somehow lazy is insulting or just ignorant. I'm going to assume the latter for now.
So, you showed me a chart of total deaths. Big deal. Are you a statistician? If you are making a claim back it up. Show me the comparisons, with deviations, and also include an abstract that outlines the possible confounding variables or other unknown factors. Has this been done by someone and you are just parroting? Well then that's great because if true you can SHARE THE EVIDENCE HERE IN A DECENT FORMAT so that we can redpill people.
If you don't have that, then please stop and focus on the target.

edit: Can't forget the grammar nazi too
Look at my posts right this second about arguing with people about how COVID numbers would be seen in these death rates: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/provisional-tables.htm so therefore it's "fake".
these people are either shills or actually just not that smart
