There is actually a study that found that even the N95's were ineffective in the healthcare setting when doffed and donned, which makes sense. It was only found to be effective if used once and discarded, which we all know is not happening across the country. Most hospitals have EUA to reuse them 20x after a cleaning procedure, but they are also cheating and considering "one use" as one day. The actual rule is 1 don/doff = one use.
How would you know if the mask is sanitary? Why would anyone accept a mask from a complete stranger? Are they covertly spreading an infection that way?
