Stick with us kid. We are all your friends here and every one of us is different. I am 70 year old Grandma pede who has been with MAGA since the beginning. You will change many many times in your life - trust me on that. God Bless you friend.
I’m a lurker here, man. This is a throw away for obvious reasons.
I’m very nearly completely physically disabled, in my late thirties. I’m on disability and I’m not employed atm. I have a plethora of medical issues. Not dooming here, I’m still hopeful and decently optimistic for an outcome that isn’t complete SHTF, but I’m gonna be real: if SHTF and the power gets cut for a long time, I’m not gonna make it. I’ve made peace with this. Despite that looming possibility, I’ve fought on the front lines of the information war to the absolute best of my ability because I know that that’s the only way to maybe avoid SHTF (and yes I know there are external forces). I’ve treated it like a full time job. I know that it’s because of western civ that a cripple like me can have the life that I do have. I’m so grateful for it. And even if SHTF, freedom lovers will purge the evil. America will not fall. There will be dark times and there will be light times. I got to live in the light for a fleeting moment of time. How awesome is that?
I’m not the strongest person mentally though, the anxiety of the past few months has prevented me from looking for employment as hard as I should, really, and I know this. I know I need to toughen up because I think it’ll be a while before we can be truly confident of shit not hitting the fan sometime in the relative future. I’m still finding purpose and peace though, and finding plenty to be happy about. TDW is family and I thank you all for everything.
You need to snap out of this shit son. It sounds to me like you need some actual responsibilities. I am assuming that you have no girlfriend, but that doesnt matter. A lot of guys are miserable because they think they need a GF. You dont need a GF, you need a companion. Go to the nearest pet rescue and get a dog. You need a purpose in life and just sitting around in your own misery is not helping you. Fuck, even if you do not get a dog, go volunteer at a pet shelter or a homeless shelter. Go help someone or something and it will give your life purpose. It is way easier to feel sorry for yourself than it is to go out do something about it. Go out and change an animals life or another humans life. Volunteer your time at a library..Volunteer your time anywhere that you can to get you out of your bubble. You can DM if you need to talk with someone in private. Ill try and help
Thank you. I do have two dogs, and spend a lot of time with my mother as well.
That being said, I still think I could be doing a lot more. I do need to get out of the bubble, like you said. I guess it's just a question of figuring out where to go with my spare time.
Earlier this year I had joined a church and wanted to become very active there, but then they closed it down for the China virus.
There was a time when I intended to make a lot of use of writing, for good purposes! But even since then, I've lost my focus there as well. Everything seems like a distraction, from the temperature to the sunlight, I'm not sure where my head is at.
You lost your focus because you let your focus be lost. Go back to the basics and start over. There are no distractions, unless you want distractions. FOCUS
Fren, it may sound symplistic to a lot of people but I swear to you, if you get on the carnivore diet and consume no sugar, and take trace minerals, your life will change. Physically and mentally. I would not say this if I did not know. Your body including your brain are screaming for support
This yes - I haven’t been feeling very well mentally as of late and it occurred to me yesterday that my diet is horrible. Well it occurred to me before that when I started getting round again but anyway...
Yes and I’ve been doing research on intermittent fasting and how it basically helps most every medical issue! So yeah, listen to your body and try to make positive impacts with simple changes you can control.
Also being non confrontational is not a bad thing. It takes all kinds! If we were all “based af” 24/7 IRL, no one would ever hear anyone.
Come to think of it, those couple of years I had high energy, I think I was eating and drinking differently too. I remember I went those years avoiding any caffeine, for example.
I am glad you are a follower of Christ and a MAGA patriot. Two wonderful things; good things! I think we will all be high off our victory and I am hoping to make positive changes too--once I get off this site!
One thing I changed earlier this year: I finally joined a church, back in January. Was going every week for the first few months, often on the Wednesday night studies too.
Then they stopped having in-person service because of the Kung Flu, most of the attendees are elderly. The pastor uploads his sermons online now. Prior to that, the church was getting me more pumped to take action in my life. I got baptized there, too. I need to think back on the mindset I had in January and remember the spirit I had developed those first few months.
There is a novena to Divine Abandonment that is really lovely. A short set of prayers for 9 consecutive days. I think a non-Catholic would enjoy these meditations as well.
Novena of Abandonment:
Day 1
Why do you confuse yourselves by worrying?
Leave the care of your affairs to me,
and everything will be peaceful.
I say to you in truth that every act of true,
blind, complete surrender to me
produces the effect that you desire
and resolves all difficult situations.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 2
Surrender to me does not mean to fret,
to be upset, or to lose hope,
nor does it mean offering to me a worried prayer
asking me to follow you
and change your worry into prayer.
It is against this surrender,
deeply against it, to worry,
to be nervous
and to desire to think about the consequences of anything.
It is like the confusion that children feel
when they ask their mother to see to their needs
and then try to take care of those needs for themselves
so that their childlike efforts get in their mother’s way.
Surrender means to placidly close the eyes of the soul,
to turn away from thoughts of tribulation,
and to put yourself in my care.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 3
How many things I do when the soul
in so much spiritual and material need turns to me,
looks at me, and says to me;
“You take care of it,”
then close its eyes and rests.
In pain, you pray for me to act,
but that I act in the way you want.
You do not turn to me.
Instead, you want me to adapt to your ideas.
You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you,
but rather sick people who tell the doctor how to.
So do not act this way,
but pray as I taught you in the Our Father:
“Hallowed be Thy Name,"
that is, "Be glorified in my need."
“Thy kingdom come,"
that is, "Let all that is in us
and in the world be in accord with Your kingdom."
“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,"
that is, "In our need,
decide as You see fit for our temporal and eternal life."
If you say to me truly:
“Thy will be done,”
which is the same as saying,
“You take care of it,”
I will intervene with all my omnipotence,
and I will resolve the most difficult situations.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 4
You see evil growing instead of weakening?
Do not worry.
Close your eyes and say to me with faith:
“Thy will be done. You take care of it.”
I say to you that I will take care of it,
and that I will intervene as does a doctor,
and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed.
Do you see that the sick person is getting worse?
Do not be upset,
but close your eyes and say
“You take care of it.”
I say to you that I will take care of it,
and that there is no medicine
more powerful than my loving intervention.
By my love, I promise this to you.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 5
And when I must lead you on a path different from the one you see,
I will prepare you;
I will carry you in my arms;
I will let you find yourself,
like children who have fallen asleep in their mother’s arms
on the other bank of the river.
What troubles you and hurts you immensely are your reason,
your thoughts, and worry,
and your desire at all costs to deal with what afflicts you.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 6
You are sleepless;
you want to judge everything,
direct everything, and see to everything,
and you surrender to human strength,
or worse—to men, themselves,
trusting in their intervention.
This what hinders my words and my views.
Oh, how much I wish from you this surrender to help you,
and how I suffer when I see you so agitated!
Satan tries to do exactly this:
to agitate you and to remove you from my protection
and to throw you into the jaws of human initiative.
So, trust only in me,
rest in me,
surrender to me in everything.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 7
I perform miracles in proportion to your full surrender to me
and to your not thinking of yourselves.
I sow treasure troves of graces when you are in the deepest poverty.
No person of reason, no thinker,
has ever performed miracles,
not even among the saints.
He does divine works whosoever surrenders to God.
So don’t think about it anymore
because your mind is acute,
and for you, it is very hard to see evil
and to trust in me
and to not think of yourself.
Do this for all your needs.
Do this, all of you,
and you will see great, continual, silent miracles.
I will take care of things,
I promise this to you.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 8
Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away
on the flowing current of my grace;
close your eyes and do not think of the present,
turning your thoughts away from the future,
just as you would from temptation.
Repose in me, believing in my goodness,
and I promise you by my love that if you say,
"You take care of it,” I will take care of it all;
I will console you,
liberate you, and guide you.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Day 9
Pray always in readiness to surrender,
and you will receive from it great peace and great rewards,
even when I confer on you the grace of immolation,
of repentance, and of love.
Then, what does suffering matter?
It seems impossible to you?
Close your eyes and say with all your soul,
“Jesus, you take care of it.”
Do not be afraid, I will take care of things,
and you will bless my Name by humbling yourself.
A thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender—
remember this well.
There is no novena more effective than this.
Repeat 10 times:
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you,
take care of everything!
Mother, I am yours now and forever.
Through you and with you
I always want to belong completely to Jesus.
Well keep urself engaged with physical activity of some sort. Take breaks from Digital world from time to time. Trump believes in the Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. Remember, even though things may seem bad, you still live in the greatest country in the world. Millions would kill to be here. So look at the glass half full and keep going.
Thanks! I agree, it is a great world here, the greatest. It can be easy to forget when one walls themselves off.
I remember when Trump was elected, I was so ecstatic. I just knew I had the energy to turn the world around myself, so to speak.
Then I got the flu from someone at the gym for several weeks. It was a pretty bad case of the flu, too. I recovered eventually, but fell out of my momentum.
“I try to ignore these thoughts and they still jump out to my consciousness”.
Don’t fight your thoughts. A wave breaks more forcefully against a barrier than it does when left unimpeded. Our thoughts are but waves rolling in and out of our consciousness. To fight them makes them bang that much stronger. Let them roll in (even the tough ones) and roll out of your mind. With practice you’ll learn how to stay as cool as a cucumber, centered and free from fighting yourself, while allowing the thoughts that bring you sustenance to take root. The negative thoughts will slowly become less and less.
Chuang Tzu (before China went all commie) was a pretty enlightened dude. Here are some of his quotes. Hope they help. God bless you.
“The superior person uses his mind like a mirror: it accepts all, it reflects all. It receives, but it does not keep”.
“To a mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.”
Whenever I start drifting off into less productive and higher stress modes like excess drinking, socially disconnecting, staying up late to watch movies, etc., I always go back to the basics. Go to sleep early. Take something to knock yourself out if you need to at first. Wake up early and exercise. Don’t get up and fuck around for an hour. Get up and sweat, go hard. Over time this will help your mind and body focus. You’ll be hungry, eat protein, lots. The mind and body are one. You’ll find more focus in the day, things won’t feel so damn hard all the time.
And don’t forget most of this country is like we are. They do everything they can to make us feel isolated, weak, and confused. This is a stressful time in history, it will test us all. But we will win.
As bipolar person I went through much the same in my 20's/30's but there are things to do that make it better:
1: First and foremost - stop drinking any alcohol if you do.
2: Stop eating crap food. Meat, fish, chicken, vegies, fruit, wholemeal carbs. But don't entirely deprive yourself. Drink water not hideous sugary stuff. I have things like donuts etc on weekends because donuts!!
3: Exercise every day. Don't go full on if it doesn't suit you. You have doggies walk walk walk and get out in the sun - it's natures disinfectant and will improve your seratonin levels. Plus happy doggies <3
4: Have days off all media. I have at least one day a week. Clears the head from information overload.
5: Don't think too much! Hard to explain but dwelling on stuff is bad and you get stuck in a loop. If you find yourself dooming in your head DO SOMETHING ELSE.
6: Hobbies are awesome. Find a passion and pursue it. Doesn't matter what it is. Learning new things opens new neural pathways and energises the grey matter. Creating stuff for me is joyful and rewarding.
7: Doing things for others. Volunteering at an aged home to read to the oldies or just talking with them. There is much to learn from older people and can provide great life perspectives.
8: Tune out the zeitgeist. "You must do this by such and such an age", "If you haven't done THIS by age 35 you are a failure" blah blah blah. It's all noise and it's all utter bs. We aren't a big homogenous group and we aren't all the same. We aren't all made to be CEO's of companies and money doesn't make people any happier. It can make life easier but I know some desperately miserable rich people.
9: I'll leave the spiritual side to the religious pedes <3
10: Know that things get better as you get older. Sure the body might slow down but the brain gets better and becomes more of a friend and less like some kind of retarded joyriding teenager trying to kill you.
I have had issues with confrontation my whole life. It gives me anxiety every time I think of a potential argument.
I refuse to wear masks and naturally this can bring up a confrontation. However, I say "Jesus protects me" and I walk into the store maskless with a smile and I have yet to be bugged in CA and AZ.
Sometimes we have to fight that anxiety with action to overcome the anxiety. It might feel scary or foreign but with time it will become more comfortable. Knowing you are protected by God always helps me. God bless you Pede, hope you are able to overcome like I have!
No one would write what I wrote in the OP except on a MAGA site, as that is the whole point I was making, that I don't think I live up to the MAGA standard. How many MAGA boards do you know of besides r/The_Donald and TheDonald.win?
If you think it's a copypasta, then copypaste what I wrote into a search engine, you will find it nowhere else, because I just wrote it myself, directly from my own personal life. Show me where it's been posted before. That's right, you can't.
You joined 17 days ago, I've been on this site a year.
You also don't seem to understand the meaning of the term glowie, which we generally use to refer to FBI infiltrators who are trying to provoke violent actions from people here. There is literally nothing provocative in my OP.
Well Mr. 17 Days, if you have to literally make stuff up, which you're not even attempting to back up, when a Pede shares something real from their life, and you can't give an actual response to anything I've said, then maybe your only purpose here is to demoralize Pedes who are having difficulty and to make us doubt one another and turn against each other.
Show me then. If you aren't a shill and think this is something that you've read before, then pull it up and let us see, and you'll realize it's not the same post you're remembering.
It's never too late to improve. You're in the right place. Keep clangin and bangin baby!
Thanks, fren!
Thanks, I appreciate it! I will take a look into those Eccles.

Thanks, I appreciate it!
Thank you, I will bear that in mind. God bless!

No.
Yep...this is a cut copy paste from another site three years ago.
You just typed up an entire Glowie profile used to phish.
Again, I remember this entire story a few years back on another conservative board now defunct. I had the same exact convo.
We'll see what the mods think.
Glowie response.
Show me then. If you aren't a shill and think this is something that you've read before, then pull it up and let us see, and you'll realize it's not the same post you're remembering.
If you can't do that, then be gone, shill.
