You should be optimistic. If Trump doesn't win in the courts or legislatiors, he just going to invoke the insurrection act. Then it's game over. Flynn, lin wood, Sydney and other have been telling him to do it. This past week Trump fired 9 people off the DoD board and put loyalists in there like Corey Lewandowski and Bossie.
Trump is a master of persuasion. If he's acting a certain way, it's because he wants other people to act in certain ways.
Even if he weren't confident and optimistic, he would act like he was because that makes those around him, and us, feel confident and optimistic too and it drives the left crazy. They want him to act defeated and downcast. So of course he'll do the opposite just to spite them. Plus he's a genuinely positive guy anyway most of the time.
Oh I think he's 100% genuine. That's just his personality.
If I had to guess, he's probably just decided that he is going to fight as hard as he possibly can, in every way he can, and let the chips fall where they may. Not that he hasn't always done that; but this time he's really playing for keeps. After that kind of commitment, there's no reason to be negative.
I have to admit that I've got a doomer voice deep down that I keep suppressing on a daily basis. Listening to President Trump makes me think he's got multiple ways to pull this off and not just one SCOTUS hail mary. He will win.

If you're on your way out, you're not going to do restructuring like that. Reorganizing the department of defense board means only one thing.
