Crazy, evil things have happened for sure, but I’m so far unconvinced “they” would let someone walk free with communication capabilities if “they” had a need to wipe his memory. Flight risks get locked away or killed. If he was on the run, why would he reveal himself in this manner?
Oh, I’m not assuming anything. My only assumption based on what I have seen is an accident of some sort that forced him out of the public eye (if he was there to begin with) while he recovered and dealt with memory loss. When you said, “they,” I thought that’s what you were alluding to.
