This was a great show. Trump barely lost Mahoning County, Ohio 49 to 46% in 2016. This was a shock result because Mahoning was FDR country. Obama won this county 63 to 35% in 2012.
In 2020, Trump actually won Mahoning 50 to 48%. Yet, Erie Co in PA, Trump went the exact opposite. He won 48 to 46% in 2016 but lost 50 to 48% in 2020.
Mahoning and Erie are pretty much the same people. Much more in common with each other than their respective states. The difference was the "mailed in" votes.
