Portland maine is terrible. It is a leftist swamp. Left there years ago and permanently disinvested about 7 years ago. It may look good to the tourista but it is portland oregon east
I vacationed in Maine last year and it was wonderful. We stayed maybe an hour from Portland, and it was gorgeous and the food was amazing. Maine is my favorite state that I've been to so far. We went whale watching and visited several lighthouses. People were friendly and it was so much fun.
Florida is hot and humid, so I'm not a fan, but I've only been to Pensacola and Orlando. The oceans are nice, but bleh it's so humid. It's like breathing soup in the summer. I'm sure winters are nice, though.
I've only been to Hot Springs, Arkansas. It was a lot of fun. Beautiful state, nice people, and Hot Springs was pretty cool. (Not sure how far away Fayetteville is)
I hope this helps! So Maine would be my #1, then Arkansas, and Florida would be last.
I went to school in NC. I like Asheville and the mtns. Further north you have great skiing and hiking near Boone and Blowing Rock, NC. I also like the coast from Savannah to Wilmington. I have been interested in the Hilton Head/Buffton/Beaufort area. If into golf then you also have the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area of NC. Hurricanes are the only drawback to the coast but I like being near the beach. Have family in Naples and Bonita Springs. Nice areas, kinda upscale. Florida wouldn’t be my thing year round though.

Find yourself a nice conservative community, damned the food, and take road trips to good food. Vacation lands are just that vacations.

Asheville NC is your typical college town, infested with liberals. Nice to visit but not live in
It’s really beautiful, love to explore NC.
San luis obispo, California.
Not a shithole.
Everyone loves it here.
Are you shilling us?
Dude get back on topic or there won't be any settling down. Good question after Trump is inaugurated for his second term.
Fayetteville is libtard ville. Pick one of the surrounding rural areas like Goshen or West Fork and you're good.
Maine is great in summer, not for year round. What state are you in now?
East texas

Middle Tennessee. No state income tax. Friendly.
