The science is no one cares anymore.

When this happened at the start of the year I was worried. Not for myself but for the fact my parents were over 60 and at the time worried if I saw them I would be responsible for their death. I am a railroad conductor, working trains from Stamford CT to NYC which stops at New Rochelle...ground zero for the virus in the USA.

The MTAs reponse was slow so I worked mant crowded trains and as more mandates came out had encounters with endless passengers who didn't wear masks properly. Nothing happened to me. Out of the 1000+ railroad conductors who collect tickets from people everyday not a single coworker died. Very few got sick.

The best time in this year is when I realized this and started visiting my family again for outdoor bbqs in the yard where I grew up. I'd rather see my family vs wait for them to die of old age if the government takes too long to say its okay again.

Life has to go on. At any moment a rock can fall from space and land on you. The virus is real for sure, but the only thing we all have in common is we're running out of time. Fuck it.
