My leftist "friends" with whom I literally never talk politics (on purpose, cause why bother) basically up and disappeared and haven't spoken to me since the election night. I guess they did my job for me, how nice of them.
I've said over and over and over that this year, of all years, has very emphatically given impact to the notion that you should only surround yourself with friends and family who want what's best for you and just drop everyone, else even if it's painful, for the benefit of your life happiness and soul in the long run.
It's pretty garbage, but I guess like they say -- with friends like these...
I'm disappointed, more than anything, cause I've always been courteous, politely never talked politics, was always helpful, reliable, punctual, eager to do favors, etc.
You like to think you build relationships on trust and respect, but whatever. At least my conscious is clean and I live right, brother.
It will, unfortunately, be up to you to make in roads to them again (if you deem them worth it) but I believe that there are more who will see the light than we worry about.

One of my best friends for seven years has literally gone MIA since nov 5. We used to text constantly, our kids are good friends....disappeared. She knows I’m a trump supporter and on Nov 5 she told me “I am just so glad I won’t have to tell my children that the President can say things that they would get in trouble for at school” and that’s the last I have heard from here.....
If the mainstream media wasn’t compromised many Americans would know how terrible Biden actually is. It’s crazy how much trust half the country had for what’s said on the tv. Doesn’t matter what proof you show them they will rationalize it and stick with what the talking head on tv says.
Good riddance. I was seeing this guy back in June and one day we started to talk about COVID lockdown and BLM on text. When I told him I did not support BLM he replied to me
“I don’t think I can be even friends with someone if they don’t support BLM”
And with that, the guy is gone. Just a moment ago he told me he really liked me and was attracted to me.
My point is, life is like a journey. People come and go. I’ve come to find that it’s more important to surround yourself with people whose values align closely to yours. To me it doesn’t matter their race, gender, or religion. As long as they are good hard working people who love this country chances are we can be friends.
Or, you know... she could just leave her children the fuck alone and let them be children. Who in Hell remembers what the president was saying when they were a kid? Well these particular """friends""" include literal communists and more recently guys who decided they're trannies, so I can tell you they're not at all about acceptance. I've never seen more hate-filled people in my life.
