This is great to see! No doubt a ton are false positives used to scare sheeple.

Something that needs to be stressed when talking about PCR tests and Cycle Threshold is that these are not really false positives for the most part, they are instead non clinical positives. The virus is being detected, but it can't be cultured so it is "inert" or "dead". It can't make you sick and you can't get anyone else sick.

I have to think that when you're doing that level of amplification, contamination has to be a serious concern.

OK. I'm not really familiar with the process. I think it was just becoming a thing when I was dating a microbiologist and that was a long time ago. I was just considering that the sampling procedure is being done in a parking lot.

I fucking love you people.

The PCR can’t tell if you’re contagious, and has no way of determining your “danger” to others.

To put it bluntly, the test is like walking into a kitchen blindfolded. If you smell the food, but don’t see it, you have no idea if dinner just started or ended.

Alex Jones was right again.

They can make this test cycle up to find anything they want. More cycles more crap found. Plus the inventor of the PCR test (Dr. Kary Mullis) stated, before he all of a sudden died, that his test should not be used the way they are using it. Our bodies are full of natural viruses, bacteria, germs so this is an excellent move by the Gov. Stop the fraud.

I have heard that as well. Now, I'm not a high-fallutin' medicine man by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems like going against established medical procedure and settled science to push these bodged and bogus tests should constitute quackery in the first degree. The hucksters and hornswogglers utilizing such jiggery-pokery should lose their licenses and be barred from the industry, at the very least.

Personally, I'd see 'em swing, those in the know and the profiteers, but I'm a bit ol' fashioned. Regardless, a scam of this scale should warrant serious consequences for those who willingly facilitated it.

I have family in Italy. We were recently comparing our COVID test results.

My cousin had a 20 PCR Threshold. It was clearly indicated on his test.

Our test had nothing on it. So, I called the lab. The PCR was 35.

For anyone “applauding” Europe’s low numbers: their tests aren’t as sensitive. This is a good thing - because our tests are too sensitive and pick up live/dying/dead viruses that result in “positives.”

Honk honk.

I'm starting to like this "Florida man" guy.

JiubUnbound 6 points ago +6 / -0

Florida Man was mercilessly criticized for years, smeared and slandered with countless lies and undue mischaracterizations. He was made a mockery, denigrated, and brought lower than a 'gator's belly.

But when humanity was brought to the brink and cried out for a savior, Florida Man answered. He could have spurned us, left us to rot in the pit of our own making. But instead, he offered us a hand where no one else would.

Florida Man was...a hero, I just didn't see it.

He just doesn't give AF and is going to do the right thing no matter how loud the idiots on the left squeal. Reminds me of POTUS to be honest.

Finally. I wish this was done months ago but better late than never. Just in time for the 2nd term

nsulltan 2 points ago +2 / -0

I just was hit with a false positive because of a work required test, had wuflu a month ago and somehow magically have it again. Nooooope BS fake ass not a test test.

2
treefork 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've been wondering for months why nothing was being done about that. I'm glad that our governor is thinking on the same wavelength.

Zero reason to amplify your swab 40+ times.

Side-o-Beef_Curtains 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well.... Looks like Florida discovered the cure.

Repeat positives are also a problem. NYS counts repeat positives of the same patients as new cases. I bet other states are doing it, too. Which is why knowing the Ct will be very helpful. And why it wasn't made available from the get-go.

FINALLY!!

Muttsbitetoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

When they want to shut down, they turn up the amplification and tell everyone to get tested. You test “positive” and are a symptomatic.

VetforTrump2 1 point ago +1 / -0

speaks. Dont even think they test that many. Counts are totally made up.

DESANTIS FOR PRESIDENT AFTER GEOTUS FINISHES HIS SECOND TERM. Anybody else thinking this?

lifeisahologram 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why not just preclude PCR from being used to count cases entirely? This effectively just requires an asterisk so to speak but that’s not gonna stop corrupt doctors or the media. Just require proper testing.
