Quite the opposite. Some poor illiterate kid in Afghanistan is no threat to a 747 flying at 40k ft. It's when you AREN'T bombing that poor illiterate kid in Afghanistan that will put a target on your back aka POTUS.
When you are not participating in endless wars, the target is on your back. Like POTUS. He wants to end wars and leave Asia and reduce useless bases so they put a target on his back as the bad guy.
You'd be surprised how difficult it can be to spot an aircraft - ANY aircraft - at distance.
Throw in some halfway decent camouflage livery & yes; they can be extremely difficult to see with the naked eye / binoculars.
Obviously paint colors has zero to do with radar; it's all about blocking & reducing visual detection.
See, I think madman GEOTUS wants new AF1 retrofitted with weapons systems, primarily because when this is all over, he will fly AF1 directly over Chy-nuh and drop the B83 bomb himself.
No offense pedes, but where the fuck you guys been??
Trump started this literally right before he fucking took office in 2016!
IIRC (w/o checking, so cut me some slack) Trump started tweeting & re-negotiating the AF1 deal with Boeing after the election, but before he even fucking took office!!!
KEK.
I believe he released this livery in early 2017, as well.
Again, IIRC & w/o researching to refresh my memory, Trump himself was intimately involved in selecting the new paint scheme / livery of the new AF1.
If you go back & look at photos from early to mid-2017, you can see a lot of Oval Office photos where Trump has a ~3ft model of the new AF1 with its new proposed livery, in the OO with him!
So......just gotta give my frens some shit for being what; almost 4 fucking years late to the party???!?!?!
Do you know that Boeing 727s have an integrated rear staircase? It could be deployed in-flight, and was publicly demonstrated on at least one occasion, by one mysterious airjacker Dan Cooper. There were also rumors that CIA used these aircrafts to insert personnel during the Vietnam War, while maintaining a relatively unmodified civilian configuration. Boeing added a device to prevent the staircase from being deployed mid-air after the Cooper incident.
I was going to point out it's a government contract, but then it's Trump, so "under budget and ahead of schedule." He'll probably have 2 years to fly around in it
Hmm this would be a good mind fuck for mask zombies. We shouldn’t wear mask because Trees need out CO2. “Duh the masks don’t stop your breath from spreading. Maybe they’ll connect the dots. I doubt it.
I think the color change has merit, but I was always a fan of the patterns Raymond Loewy chose for the colors. I'd prefer keeping the graphic layout and just substituting other colors, although I do like the larger flag.
I could go either way on the script change for United States Of America on the side.
All that said, the new design isn't bad. Just doesn't have the extra "swoopiness" of Loewy's layout. And, I don't know why, but something about the light blue engine nacelles against the bare aluminum I always liked. The white nacelles just don't do it for me.
He should paint a bald eagle on the side trailing the US flag.
The reeeee that would ensue every time the media had to show him coming down from Air Force One would shatter the space time continuum leading to a new reality where Trump remains President indefinitely.
If anyone here owns a paint/ink company and doesn't change name of their gold color to Trump gold they can fuck off. I want to see that on a store shelf. I need a Trump gold mailbox.
The Boeing 747-8 is a modified Boeing 747-400. It's a different aircraft than the -200 which is obsolete basically. You can get a used 747-400 for around 20 mil. Depending on airframe time and engines. I would imagine those -8 engines are bigger and more advanced. I heard they have composite blades with noise reduction exhaust compared to the -400. The engines are the new GEnx-2B67B they're state of the art compared to the GE CF6-80C2D1F that the -400 had. Not sure what the -200 was, but I can tell you that the amount of money to keep those operating is highly costly due to FAA regulations and rules for maintenance verse brand new engines. Not to mention the -8 have new avionics instead of 20+ year old wiring and technology.
I could go on and on about it. I am an aircraft mechanic and maintenance controller. My company operates 3 747-400's I could only dream of working on the new -8's, but I don't work for UPS or FedEx who are both waiting on those aircraft from Boeing.
The weight would depend much more on what's inside. 20 ft of aircraft structure isn't too much more weight, but they may add more stuff inside.
Also the length would affect the moment of inertia of the aircraft. So if the new engines weigh more, lengthening the aircraft will actually help weight and balance with the new engines.
That's one of the problems Boeing had with the Max 8. They just strapped new engines on the old aircraft and it drastically affected flight dynamics, requiring them to adjust the automatic trim to counter what would've been a constant pitch.
I don't trust it, they will sell it with the same remote controller in the 737 maxx.
They will down the President through the new remote control jet first chance they get. Just paint the old one.
As an aircraft mechanic whose seen his fair share of aircraft paint schemes, I like it. It's not over the top it's not wavy lines. Its clean looking.
Also want to note something about the 747-200 those engines are obsolete turds. The new GEnx versions are top of the line and I wish I could get a tour of AF1 to know what has been added besides the glass cockpits and new engines. I wanna know how the new APU is and what the mods are for landing gear.
I only worked on CF6's. I do know that Rolls Royce engines are badass though. I wish I could work on the engines that didn't break so much. The CF6-80's and their variants are work horse engines widely used for air cargo operations, but man they've been a pain in the ass lately.
You're expected to assume they're not doing away with stuff like that. Those are basic features now. I think in both they're only referring to upgrades to the previous version.
Can we get an A10 gun on it too? I want to see Airforce one take out some Fuckers with that big ass gun on it. Make it a death machine of Peace!
This way we vote in someone we know will be able to use it and be on our side the whole time. We will never surrender our Freedoms! A well regulated militia will allow this. Starting with our trust and how badass our president is.
I always assumed it was painted that way for camouflage purposes.🤷♂️
Can't scare the crap out of your enemy when they can't see you
We should paint a big American middle finger under it!
Double fist middle fingers on each wing!
Two terms. Two scoops. Two Middle Fingers. Two brass balls.
I like this! :-D
Fuck the UN. USA USA USA
Oooo a AirForceOne stealth... i like it... gotta get Tony Stark on that!
Jackie O picked the colours
You only need to hide when you participate in endless wars.
Quite the opposite. Some poor illiterate kid in Afghanistan is no threat to a 747 flying at 40k ft. It's when you AREN'T bombing that poor illiterate kid in Afghanistan that will put a target on your back aka POTUS.
What?
When you are not participating in endless wars, the target is on your back. Like POTUS. He wants to end wars and leave Asia and reduce useless bases so they put a target on his back as the bad guy.
If it were camouflage it'd probably just be all white and o bl md in with other planes.
The underside is sky blue, which allegedly helps it to camouflage when viewed from below, but I really don’t think anybody is gonna hide a 747.
You are correct
New design looks very similar to the header on THEDONALD.WIN...
Red/Blue colors, with the emblem....
Air Force Win
Complete with rear bay doors to toss commies out of at 30000 ft
I'd like, A YOU'RE FIRED button, with trap doir opening out the bottom. With video link to TDW
Might have to strap some rotors to the top
See, I think madman GEOTUS wants new AF1 retrofitted with weapons systems, primarily because when this is all over, he will fly AF1 directly over Chy-nuh and drop the B83 bomb himself.
FUCK.
YES!!!!!!
We were gonna do a contest for nicknames but you already .win
New .WIN request; AirForce.Win
Talk all about this new beauty!
:-D
Just need a winking GEOTUS logo somewhere and it will be perfection.
"With the new design, the plane will double as an advertisement for TheDonald.win, the #1 Trump forum online." -From the press release, probably
1 forum online
while your what?
No offense pedes, but where the fuck you guys been?? Trump started this literally right before he fucking took office in 2016! IIRC (w/o checking, so cut me some slack) Trump started tweeting & re-negotiating the AF1 deal with Boeing after the election, but before he even fucking took office!!!

LOOOOOOOL....... :-D
The UN is gay
Airforce Won
by a lot
Put the press pool cabin in the rear with a cargo door that can be opened mid flight.
Add it to their bathroom so you get a fresh supply of commies and they don’t know what keeps happening....in Minecraft
The press pool will be forced to ride in marine one, because commies get free helicopter rides.

I can tell you for a fact there are 727s still working for the agency air dropping spec ops into places they are not welcome.
Stick them in the lower cargo area with the Fly Away Kit.
Impressive length
Girth matters more apparently
They say it's how you fly the beast that matters but we all know that's bullshit.
Full throttle and gentle on the flaps
despite that, its a nimble navigator
How much you wanna bet the dorsal cockpit region separates from the fuselage as a self-propelled supersonic emergency escape craft?
Do you have a million dollars? Because it doesn't.
Not that you know of.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
New design is better but it could use more stars and stripes! And a cool eagle would be nice.
...with frikkin lasers
I’m sure it will. Supposedly the current AF1 has a laser anti-air missile defense system
"In service from 2024"
A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit
I was going to point out it's a government contract, but then it's Trump, so "under budget and ahead of schedule." He'll probably have 2 years to fly around in it
I want it to emit 16 more tons of CO2. Frigid winters suck.
Exactly. What will the trees eat? They need a constant supply of CO2 to survive.
Especially with everyone’s mouths and noses being blocked, the trees are starving!
Hmm this would be a good mind fuck for mask zombies. We shouldn’t wear mask because Trees need out CO2. “Duh the masks don’t stop your breath from spreading. Maybe they’ll connect the dots. I doubt it.
Liberals don’t believe the trees take CO2 lmao.
Global cooling is way worse than any global warming
Hate to break it to you, but that'll just feed more plants. Otherwise I'd have bought a fleet of Hummers to leave runniing 24/7.
Oh damn youre right. Never made the UN connection.
More like... Israel color scheme.
The UN flag has darker blue.
exactly. Might as well have a star of david on the side. This is America, not Israel
MIGA
Definitely needs a new paint job! Patriotic colors preferred!
Also change the name on the side to
"United States of Trump"
That is the Israel Color scheme. And yeah, we need to be Red white and blue.
CHANGE ONE OF THE 757's NOW!!!! FLY THAT WHILE THEY DO THE 747's!!
Probably in the minority here.
I think the color change has merit, but I was always a fan of the patterns Raymond Loewy chose for the colors. I'd prefer keeping the graphic layout and just substituting other colors, although I do like the larger flag.

Just MHO.
I think the old design looks girly and the new design looks masculine.
Yes...some my comment above!
DO IT.
He should paint a bald eagle on the side trailing the US flag.
The reeeee that would ensue every time the media had to show him coming down from Air Force One would shatter the space time continuum leading to a new reality where Trump remains President indefinitely.
The eagle should be on the underside so it looks like an eagle is flying above youwhen it passes by.
American version of a Romulan warbird?
I like it.
RED WHITE AND BLUE! AMERICA!! THIS IS YOUUUU!
Anybody here remember those Easy Rider U.S. motorcycle helmets?
“Oh, I got a helmet!”
He should just tell them to paint it in Trump Gold.
If anyone here owns a paint/ink company and doesn't change name of their gold color to Trump gold they can fuck off. I want to see that on a store shelf. I need a Trump gold mailbox.
Perhaps they're using more advanced materials to keep weight about the same?
I found some info on the new 747-8:
http://www.boeing.com/commercial/747/#/design-highlights/technologically-advanced/proven-materials/
The Boeing 747-8 is a modified Boeing 747-400. It's a different aircraft than the -200 which is obsolete basically. You can get a used 747-400 for around 20 mil. It says first flew in 1991?
That's correct. The USAF first took delivery of 2 jets in 1990 to make [defensive] modifications to the jets.

Air Force one just got 20ft longer!
Who cares about CO2 emissions on Air Force One. It should shoot fireworks off everywhere it goes.
But yeah. New color scheme makes sense.
Exactly whoever wrote that wasn't thinking. They are just spewing the nwo garbage.
Little bit early 90's retro. Clear cut corners and all.
Blue is a bit retro futurism. Reminiscent of a time where many envisioned a future as the one we now have.
Paint it like a bald eagle in flight
I don't trust it, they will sell it with the same remote controller in the 737 maxx. They will down the President through the new remote control jet first chance they get. Just paint the old one.

GET OFF MY PLANE
I love nostalgia and hate change, but it should have always been these colors. It looks damn sharp. The old one is gaytarted by comparison.
Here's the info and history of AF-1 from Boeing: https://www.boeing.com/defense/air-force-one/index.page
https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/Museum-Exhibits/Presidential-Gallery/
Why would the mention the blast protection and the refueling in flight on the current but not the new one?
You're expected to assume they're not doing away with stuff like that. Those are basic features now. I think in both they're only referring to upgrades to the previous version.

/s, but kinda not joking too. ;)
Looks good
Great call. I noticed the light blue and did not approve.
airforce.win
the un one kinda looks like an israel paint scheme
The new one is much better.
Eh. Is this news worthy? BBC lol.
I thought the under body paint was was to help camouflage the aircraft against the sky. There was a documentary on it.
AMERICA! TRUMP YEAH!
the plane just got 10% longer
I actually like the red, white and blue, but I would have the white as polished aluminum, so it gleams on a sunny day.
Wasn't it painted as is to blend in with the sky for security purposes?
EW, I never realized that! Repaint the current one while we have the new one painted right the first time.
Interesting... And I'm sure it will have twice as more TV's as it dose now.
I’m all for it!! AMERICA FIRST!!!
If you can't trust the current cars why could you trust the current planes?
