Fascism is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.
Other than the definitions always include the term "far right" the description sounds just like our left.
In the political specteum far left is centralize of power in the public sphere while far right is it being disperse in the private sphere
Since fascism is socialism with the focus being on the nation state instead of the worker (Marxism) the union (lenism) or the race (nazism).
It might be slightly more to the (center) then the other mention above but it most certainly doesn't promote a weaken public sphere.
