I got logged out everywhere.
Couldn't remember my password so I had to guess it, thankfully got back in.
If a lot of people got locked out by the auto-logout then we might see an influx of handshake accounts from pedes who have to make new ones.

Yes.
Not too concerned about the logout, as we do that fairly frequently anyway (by which I mean probably twice in the last six months)
The bigger concern is people who use a password manager or rely on their browser to save their password.
Since you now login via another domain, the password manager won't have anything.
I just want to seize the opportunity that you show up here to say Thank you for all this. And congrats on the great exodus. And that you guys are amazing.
Usually I end up going into the chrome settings and digging passwords up if they're saved anyway (I didn't have this one saved before so I'm basically just lucky I didn't choose something super politically specific for a password).
Thank you for adding the email feature though so we can avoid getting locked out :)

I was using a foxfire random password generator and the logoff somehow messed up the memory so I had to make a new account. It also messed up something in the account which prevented me from making a new password.
But making a new account isn't nearly as scary as thinking they'd pulled the plug and the alternative sites weren't coming online.
ps This is the only site other than my bank where I will allow cookies. I'm generally opposed to being tracked.
