They aren’t dumb, they’re demoralized (bezemenov definition). they’re being brainwashed by the media on all platforms. You tell a lie enough times it becomes the truth right. The average person will just check a msm outlet quick in the morning or evening, and then check the social media, then turn on the radio in the car, and there is one constant message running through all of those arenas, fear. So they think, maybe there is something to this covid stuff and act in a manner of fear. I told a person the other day that the virus survival rate was 99.98% and they looked at me like I had two heads. I even showed them the numbers and had them punch them in to his calculator and he still had a look of disbelief. The demoralization is so complete, he couldn’t believe the math, even running the numbers himself. He is not a dumb person, just completely demoralized.

Functionally it's no different than idiocy.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 64 points ago +64 / -0

It's the net result of failing to teach children to think critically. (which has been going on for decades)

People passively accept what they are told. Many doing it begrudgingly, thinking the mask is a minor inconvenience and not worth the "fight" with every store employee they encounter throughout their day. (not worth the time/trouble)

Little do they realize they are being conditioned to passively assume a position of submission. That is why you are now seeing some of the guidelines getting ramped up, as the tyrants install more measures of control.

I personally know many people who are ambitious busy-bodies (apolitical, but probably voted for Trump) who are not afraid of COVID, but wear the mask because it is commonplace, in my area. They are good hard-working Americans, but are not invested enough in politics to take the time to understand the nuance of what is happening.

With that said, they will rally to our side once the truth is exposed. (And the facade is definitely crumbling.) They will be fucking pissed when they find out that this is all a coordinated effort to dominate them and their lives. I've tried red-pilling them and explaining but it is a lot to take in, when you aren't following along daily. (Again, I live in a cucked area.)

Have faith in humanity.

yeah I live in the libbest of lib areas (in CA) and based on my experiences I would bet that 50-70% don't care about rona but would rather just go along with it and not be harrassed.

RandoMando2A 10 points ago +10 / -0

The only way to combat the media, fear, and stupid business owners is for groups, 10+, to start planning meetups for store visits. A lone maskless wolf does not work and has no effect. A 10+ pack of maskless wolves sure will though. This is the way!

I do wear a mask when going inside buildings because it’s not worth engaging with brainwashed morons. I’m like ok whatever I’ll wear this dumb piece of cloth that does absolutely nothing at all whatever brainwashed morons say.

No fucking chance I’m wearing this crap outside tho. Although it’s not too bad to protect from the cold I guess.

It was like this for me until recently when our shit gov (who cheated his way in, again) recently expanded mask mandates. Now I've been stopped at 2 stores in the last week and told I have to wear one or leave. One of the Walmarts by me still hasn't said anything, so hoping they don't cuck out like the other one that stopped me recently.

Yeah, and yea. I agree completely. I've no desire to be spit at, arrested, argued with. Wearing a mask is not the hill to die on, not for me. I'll bear arms for the election, though. I'll do my best to keep our democracy alive.

14
ClownTamer 14 points ago +14 / -0

It’s not a hill I’ll die on but I’ve been doing well this entire time. I was walking around yesterday with no one around and some Karen looking lady stopped her car next to me and said “can I ask you a question?” I got the vibe that she was going to yell at me for not wearing a mask while around no one else I don’t already live with, so I said “not today!” And kept on walking.

Person I was with said I didn’t have to be an asshole about it. It’s a sad thing when some people don’t realize that it’s the folks trying to shame you into wearing a mask in all situations that are the assholes.

I have to wear a mask to go to Church. The Priest gave a tremendous sermon about it back in July. His rationale: the Church is filled with old people.

So, I bite my tongue with that.

However, I will not go anywhere else that requires it. Pharmacy/Grocery/etc. Nope. I’ll have it delivered.

1
ClownTamer 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m actually not anti mask, and wouldn’t mind wearing it on public transit or something if I did that anymore. I am completely against the religious symbol wearing a mask in public while not around other people has become, and leadership trying to mandate things they have no legal right to mandate.

Mask in a store? Great, it’s your store, and I’ll have to decide whether to mask up or not go. Mask outside or in public parks or while out by yourself in a canoe in the middle of the water? Go fuck yourself. I almost feel like chasing people that try to shame you for being alone in public away from others without a mask. Chase them and breath on them. The onus is on anyone that wants to isolate to do it. I’ll even help them. The onus isn’t on everyone else.

One local person here told me they don’t like others going out because they themselves are vulnerable and quarantining themselves and it isn’t fair if it’s just them. It is entirely fair. You think you’re at risk so you acted accordingly. Others don’t so they act accordingly. Zero risk to anyone self isolating. And if there isn’t, there’s also no reason to do it.

3
Orion101 3 points ago +4 / -1

1
kang989 1 point ago +1 / -0

The real question.

The answer: he won't.

2
YYZeh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Depends. If I’m outside and someone stops me and starts being a jerk they’ve picked the wrong guy. But guess what I’m 6’3 and jacked no one says anything to me ever when I’m walking around.

If I’m going inside a building to use whatever services they sell I see no point getting into an argument with a brainwashed drone. It’s their business and I’m buying something.

Nobody has an issue showing up at the office wearing a suit and a button down shirt. Refusing to wear a mask in a store that has a mandatory mask policy and going Pikachu face when some moron is enforcing their rule (however stupid) is akin to being a purple haired obese soyboy leftist who cries because they never get hired by anyone.

2

2

Central Virginia.

Lots of based people here, throughout the region. (particularly out beyond the suburbs) But the middle-class in the region is more affluent than most of the country-- and affluence leads to complacency and political indifference. (I also know a lot of guys who were once cool but married leftist women and now are complete cucks.) Richmond proper is a third-world shit-hole. The corruption of city hall is well known, and now the once revered Monument Avenue looks more like a project from southside Chicago.

The blue masks are the armband. If you wear them in public at "masks required" stores just wear them on your arm.

2

11
BlueArmband 11 points ago +11 / -0

Or just don't wear them! Other people will start taking them off!

11
RizzlieDoodad 11 points ago +11 / -0

Some do. Not all do. It follows the tipping point logic by Gladwell. Some people don't want to wear them and are looking for others to "grant" them permission to not wear them.

5
NYC_4_Trump 5 points ago +5 / -0

Not until big groups start going on walks through stores maskless. One lone wolf has no effect and can be told to leave. 10 or more packing together and strolling through will be left alone and have the effect of influencing others. Even here in LA. (Mask Central)

1
BlueArmband 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've never been told to leave. Other people take theirs off when they see me. I'm in NY.

2
Giant_Robot 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Mask required" stores won't get my business anymore unless there is a legal mandate. Enough is enough.

3
BlueArmband 3 points ago +3 / -0

The mandates are all executive. A lot of places in some states have the signs up by "law" but its not enforced.

5
RedSocks157 5 points ago +5 / -0

morethanaconquerer2 3 points ago +3 / -0

38
Bloatmaxxxer 38 points ago +38 / -0

What some around here need to realize is that MOST people are sheep. I don't mean that they are dumb, or less of human being, just that they're naturally inclined to be a follower of the highest authority (whoever has control over the flow of information). If everyone was a critical thinker, social cohesion would be difficult. You have selection bias here by virtue of the fact that this is essentially a dissident website.

10
NedTugent 10 points ago +13 / -3

Whether dumb, smart, or not, I see them as weak minded and not worth my time.

14
Bloatmaxxxer 14 points ago +14 / -0

That attitude won't help anything, simply put there never has or never will never be a society in which the majority of the constituents are not sheep. The only way to affect change is to seize control of the cultural narrative.

7
DiamondInTheWeeds 7 points ago +7 / -0

"The only way to affect change is to seize control of the cultural narrative." This.

1

Yeah it’s pretty sad walking around outside where near where I live. So many people are just brainwashed and feel the need to follow the herd. Went on a walk at park with a popular trail and nearly everyone was wearing a mask; toddlers were being forced to mask up. Had to deal with one pair of cucks telling me to wear one (ignored the fuck out of them). Only a few people didn’t give in; my family parked next to a car that I noticed had a III (3%er if I’m not mistaken) sticker. They didn’t mask up.

6
DebbieinDallas 6 points ago +6 / -0

The saddest thing is to see little kids wearing a mask. This is going to leave emotional scars. And you know its not healthy for them to breathe in their own exhaled air. The silence of the medical profession is damning. We are truly living in a commie country where dissent is not tolerated. Trump must win BAMN

5
50blessings 5 points ago +5 / -0

An entire generation of people is going to grow up thinking wearing face coverings and never interacting with anyone outside their family is normal. I wouldn’t be surprised if these dumb mask policies go down in history as the worst, most overly paranoid medical decisions ever made. Kids will not know how to socialize, growing adults like me will probably see some of the worst rates of divorce and lowest rates of partnership, and the elderly will probably have the highest suicide rates ever recorded. It’s an affront to the natural order and to all of humanity to hide from a virus that is nowhere near as virulent as any major plague in history. Times have been so easy that we hide from a “pandemic” that is hardly fatal.

4
ScreamingEagle1776 4 points ago +4 / -0

I saw a woman yesterday literally beat her 4 year old daughter for not wearing a mask abs said ‘I don’t want to die’. It was heart breaking. This parent is so scared because of the media and their own ignorance, they are abusing their own child. Sick.

I've learned that most women don't have their own opinion. If they got a bf that they like, he could be a Satan worshiper and the girl will find a way to dellude herself into how that's the obvious thing to do.

14
Cyphr 14 points ago +15 / -1

Women are externally motivated. That means that women will change their views and opinions to match people that they themselves consider to have high status or authority.

Men are internally motivated, and form their own views and opinions based on their own knowledge and experiences. Role models also have an influence, but only to a degree.

There's examples of this from online dating. Folk made up fake profiles with guys saying in their bio they were convicted pedo's or actual nazi's with a big swastika tattoo in their profile pic. They got tons of replies and none cared about them being a pedo or nazi. Why? They were hot.

I also read somewhere that women naturally have an in group bias. Which could explain why so many women are shoehorned into positions of power. Tons of other women will side with them regardless simply because they are also women.

8
Zeriel 8 points ago +9 / -1

Haha yea I saw the news on that Pedo guy from Tinder! lol. It's true, women don't care so much about morality, they care more about being with the "right" crowd and not being confrontational. This is the opposite of what Trump and most people with strong moral values want. This is because women are naturally higher in contientiousness than men. They want overall harmony in the group rather than what its right.

This also why virtue signaling on Social Media is so hypocritical.

3
MerchantMan99 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's why Hillary can use slogans like "I'm with her" and get zero flack for it. The idea of a male politician using "I'm with him" as a slogan would get him laughed out of office.

My local supermarket has signs that say if you can’t wear a mask due to ADA reasons, you need to make alternate arrangements such as online delivery with curbside pickup. I’m almost certain thats a violation of federal guidelines.

1
RizzlieDoodad 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its honestly not my problem. I've been daring the faggots to say something. One did, I said I had a breathing condition and he said ok have a nice day

1
POTUS_DonnieJ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Problem if they literally don’t let you in. I tried and they called 5 associates and a manager to block my way even though I also have an ADA exemption card. They told me they were very sorry for my condition, but I would need to order my groceries online or send someone to shop for me in a mask. And yes, I’m in shape, and yes, I do carry, but I’m not about to take on 6 people.

3
RizzlieDoodad 3 points ago +3 / -0

Get all their names and report them for refusal on disability. Do it to their higher ups as well as the federal government. They have an easy form on the ada.gov website that allows you to do that

1
POTUS_DonnieJ 1 point ago +1 / -0

I looked into it at the time, provided that they have “a reasonable alternate arrangement”, its not an ADA violation. And online shopping option was deemed sufficient as long as pickup and/or delivery was free, which it was.

And that's even with a total tomato failure due to late blight. I've designed the system to be very lazy (focus on edible perennials) You can do it too if I can do it. I'm just a tard only been doing this for about 5-6 yrs now. I recently heard it on the Dan Bongino show. I trust his analysis but, I will now verify!

Might be the difference between effectiveness against the strains they were designed for, and effectiveness against whichever strain ends up being dominant in the year they were administered.

15
MamaLlama4DJT2020 15 points ago +15 / -0

Some years they totally blow it. I worked with a guy who didn’t get it, one year his Doctor was really on his case about it and he replied “you and I both know they’re just guessing at it” and his Doc relented.

bigchungus420 7 points ago +7 / -0

The influenza virus (orthomyxovirus) is a bit different structurally than coronavirus. The flu virus has segmented RNA and so it’s constantly producing new potent strains. Scientists and doctors are essentially making an educated guess when determining what will be the most common strains during flu season.

Coronavirus doesn’t have this segmentation- it’s just a regular RNA virus.

2
DiscoverAFire 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. Flu mutates a lot more than corona. So flu vaccines need to be updated a lot more than corona.

HIV mutates constantly, that's why they can't make a vaccine for it.

That said, there's already 4+ strains of covid kicking around, so don't expect that 95% number to last.

1
BidenCrimeFamily 1 point ago +1 / -0

They will push out the COVID-21 soon though, a man made mutation

2
Wexit-Delecto 2 points ago +2 / -0

They’re going to say it mutated because we didn’t reduce our carbon emissions enough. Or because someone cut down a tree.

3
TheWatcherWhoWatches 3 points ago +3 / -0

Especially considering I have yet to see any evidence that they have isolated this particular virus.

Effectiveness and efficacy are two different things. How these vaccines work in the real world is yet to be seen. Here's one article with a lot of interesting comments: https://www.bmj.com/content/371/bmj.m4347/rapid-responses

Also, if I'm understanding this correctly, they only had 94 cases of Covid, out of a study group of 44000 people?! Maybe this is normal for vaccine trials, but it seems like an extremely low number of people from which to draw such important conclusions.

2
BidenCrimeFamily 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah it's ridiculous...my only concern is seeing my 90+ old grandma, who even if I give her a cold or normal flu would just be terrible.

Here in LA we don't really have a choice. I've tried to see where I can get away with not wearing one. Switched grocery stores so I can at least take it off after walking in the door. My husband says "it's just 10 minutes you'll be fine"

It's just 10 min It's just a shot It's just a passport lol

He'll be thinking differently when we can't use our airline miles we just got a card for!

6

I dont mind wearing gloves but masks are downright harmful because they cut down on your oxygen. I dont get why so many people dont see that. Where’s OSHA? Where’s the AMA? How come I can smoke pot but not cigs in my own home? Why dont conservative politicians tout Vit D? Why dont they tout the studies that show masks dont do shit unless you are in a hosp situation and being coughed on and spit on all the time? How come there is no pushback?

Right. Scott Altas was clear about it though: encouraged masking, but not mandated. I'm fine with that. It's this extreme nanny state and mandated masking which is not okay.

2
Blinker-Aerospace7 2 points ago +3 / -1

And a lot of us end up in between "do I respect private property/business and comply with their rules" or "do I not comply and force them to become a middle-man to my non-compliance"

I'd love to not have to use a grocery store, but I'm not in that position currently. And the closest one (that I know of) without a mask policy (either corporate or county-level) is 2 hours away. Working more on moving further away, but still not that close to full homesteading lol.

It really sucks they designed the rules such that I can't not comply without fucking somebody else over potentially (local grocer, subject to county rules)

I haven't thought of an effective way around it, short of yelling outside the county office, which I don't think would be all that effective

1
DebbieinDallas 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wear a mask to get through the front door, then drop it down so I can breathe. I cut my own hair so I dont get my hair salon in trouble by not wearing a mask. I order in my nonperishables, and stock up at the store so I dont have to deal this this crap as little as possible. This is a helluva way for a free American to live.

1
CWAC_Patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Check what the actual rules are. Around here, it is mandated that workers wear them, and that they ask for masks. But they are not in contravention of any rules to allow someone to shop without a mask. Due to disability rights, they canjot ask about health conditions.

5
FormerGraveheart 5 points ago +5 / -0

I really wish he would look at the multiple studies, linked here yesterday, that show that masks do jack shit against viruses and everybody should stop wearing them.

1

Believe it or not there are places that will have you arrested for not wearing one. Now, i'm glad you don't live in one of those places, but i'm not going to jail for that. Unless you want to pay my morgage and bills to support my wife and 3 kids after I lose my job?

The other day I heard two women--I inferred acquaintances--have a lively conversation about how scared they were. Can't go here; can't go there; on and on. It was a thrift shop's clothing section, so I could eavesdrop without being too obvious. One woman was going out of town and said "We'll just shelter at a motel." The other woman said coming to the thrift store was her "therapy."

I'm not generally given to visceral responses, and hearing these two Nervous Nellies got me feeling a bit ill. I think worse of all were these were older women--easily in their 60s or 70s. They were raised by "The Greatest Generation." Something went off the rails somewhere.

it was actually changing their gender, like getting hormone therapy

There was no dispute about it... Jones was just reading like science magazine and newsweek

Even as a lefty when I was still a registered Democrat, I respected Alex. I think him hilarious but his passion true and sincere and would love to have a drink with the guy.

We have to stop thinking like this. We are never going to win on logic or common sense. Democrats don't have the ability or any incentive to look at the past and use it to inform their decisions. They only care about what they can do/say to make the present/future better for THEM. That's why they always pretend to not remember or to completely ignore statements/actions they made years ago or even mere weeks ago.

This isn't about a disease, it's about power, and they'll do anything to get more of it.

12

I don't know. When I go to the store, I am the only one not wearing a mask. And this is in supposedly deep red Kentucky. Actually it makes me feel like a dick not wearing a mask when everyone else is, but I want to be the change I want to see.

12

Far nastier diseases like HIV are very prevalent in blue cities and nobody bats an eye or suggests all the infected need to be rounded up and isolated. And under hussein a literal ebola epidemic was allowed to escape all the mandatory bio-containment processes inexplicably with the foreign infected people allowed to wander around the streets of cities infecting citizens. Again, no major response.. no investigation.. I wonder who gave the order for the containment protocols to be abandoned?

Disease is always used as a weapon for seizing power.. I dont know that there has even been an exception.

3

6
TheQuickening 6 points ago +6 / -0

I'm dealing with this almost daily now!

I tell them the math and as soon as I get a few words out, they shut down. Then they get pissed at me and give me the evil eye.

I never said it wasn't real, I'm just saying the math doesn't lie, and the information being feed to the masses is not math, it's complete BS.

The total tested positive doesn't tell you anything! What's the current case numbers? B/c every person that's test positive after 14 days should be removed.

That chart is only designed to freak people out.

I can't wait for this to be over! I'm not even going to be a dick about it, I'm just going to continue on smiling without my mask!

3
MerchantMan99 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not to mention that they just keep piling on the death count or case numbers. They don't do that with any other disease. Flu has a season. The numbers reset after every season so we can compare one season to the next.

Imagine if they treated the flu like covid. It would have 100M+ deaths and would seem like the most lethal disease in history.

1
TheQuickening 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's very true!

Plus add on how out of all the deaths it's only ~6% of the total deaths that do not have another underlining cause. The numbers are being used against us.

Just like this election was, but MATH, math can not lie.

After all, this is fixed, the school education system needs to be fixed on Math! Math needs to be everyone's 2nd language!!!

2
MerchantMan99 2 points ago +2 / -0

And very simple math, too. We are talking basic arithmetic here.

A report came out in Illinois saying which counties would be getting the vaccine first. Some mouth breathers were saying it was all the counties that were ignoring mask mandates and going out to bars. Here's the problem though, when you actually look at the data, the average age in those counties was significantly higher than those in the counties not getting the virus. Given that information, it makes logical sense that they would have higher COVID deaths. But hey, that's just looking at facts and using logic.

3
lollergagger 3 points ago +3 / -0

I checked testing rate vs new cases for the entire country and found that they're very well correlated. I'm sure if you look at smaller population groups (by state, county or region), the trend would be even clearer. So every time you see "surge in new cases", it is usually created with a rise in testing.
