Functionally it's no different than idiocy.

It's the net result of failing to teach children to think critically. (which has been going on for decades)

People passively accept what they are told. Many doing it begrudgingly, thinking the mask is a minor inconvenience and not worth the "fight" with every store employee they encounter throughout their day. (not worth the time/trouble)

Little do they realize they are being conditioned to passively assume a position of submission. That is why you are now seeing some of the guidelines getting ramped up, as the tyrants install more measures of control.

I personally know many people who are ambitious busy-bodies (apolitical, but probably voted for Trump) who are not afraid of COVID, but wear the mask because it is commonplace, in my area. They are good hard-working Americans, but are not invested enough in politics to take the time to understand the nuance of what is happening.

With that said, they will rally to our side once the truth is exposed. (And the facade is definitely crumbling.) They will be fucking pissed when they find out that this is all a coordinated effort to dominate them and their lives. I've tried red-pilling them and explaining but it is a lot to take in, when you aren't following along daily. (Again, I live in a cucked area.)

Have faith in humanity.

yeah I live in the libbest of lib areas (in CA) and based on my experiences I would bet that 50-70% don't care about rona but would rather just go along with it and not be harrassed.

The only way to combat the media, fear, and stupid business owners is for groups, 10+, to start planning meetups for store visits. A lone maskless wolf does not work and has no effect. A 10+ pack of maskless wolves sure will though. This is the way!

good strategy

Being in a lib lib area of CA as well, I can concur with your conclusion roughly. Of that 50-70%, their daily 'worry levels' fluctuate based up on how MSM news they consumed in the last 24 hours.

Completely agree with you, I'm just man-splaining the mindset of normies who walk around with masks on, but recognize that it is actually pretty gay.

lol, i get kicked out of everywhere here

I've been doing this since March. It's hard to hold the line when you feel like the last rational person left. It's like everyone's collectively gone insane.

I wear it cuz there's a huge fine. And our constitution doesn't cover this. I'm not American.....

YYZeh 4 points ago +13 / -9

I do wear a mask when going inside buildings because it’s not worth engaging with brainwashed morons. I’m like ok whatever I’ll wear this dumb piece of cloth that does absolutely nothing at all whatever brainwashed morons say.

No fucking chance I’m wearing this crap outside tho. Although it’s not too bad to protect from the cold I guess.

What state?

kag_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

It was like this for me until recently when our shit gov (who cheated his way in, again) recently expanded mask mandates. Now I've been stopped at 2 stores in the last week and told I have to wear one or leave. One of the Walmarts by me still hasn't said anything, so hoping they don't cuck out like the other one that stopped me recently.

In LA they will escorts you out with security at grocery stores...if you don't have a mask.

Yeah, and yea. I agree completely. I've no desire to be spit at, arrested, argued with. Wearing a mask is not the hill to die on, not for me. I'll bear arms for the election, though. I'll do my best to keep our democracy alive.

ClownTamer 14 points ago +14 / -0

It’s not a hill I’ll die on but I’ve been doing well this entire time. I was walking around yesterday with no one around and some Karen looking lady stopped her car next to me and said “can I ask you a question?” I got the vibe that she was going to yell at me for not wearing a mask while around no one else I don’t already live with, so I said “not today!” And kept on walking.

Person I was with said I didn’t have to be an asshole about it. It’s a sad thing when some people don’t realize that it’s the folks trying to shame you into wearing a mask in all situations that are the assholes.

Pro-tip: the hills just keep getting bigger.

Orion101 3 points ago +4 / -1

How are you going to take up arms against someone if you're afraid of arguing with them?

2
YYZeh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Depends. If I’m outside and someone stops me and starts being a jerk they’ve picked the wrong guy. But guess what I’m 6’3 and jacked no one says anything to me ever when I’m walking around.

If I’m going inside a building to use whatever services they sell I see no point getting into an argument with a brainwashed drone. It’s their business and I’m buying something.

Nobody has an issue showing up at the office wearing a suit and a button down shirt. Refusing to wear a mask in a store that has a mandatory mask policy and going Pikachu face when some moron is enforcing their rule (however stupid) is akin to being a purple haired obese soyboy leftist who cries because they never get hired by anyone.

Fermented 2 points ago +2 / -0

No doubt. Toronto has a lot of go along to get along types.

2
FattyWatt 2 points ago +3 / -1

THEY R DOING THE SAME. SHOWS YOU'RE BRAINWASHED, TOO.

1
YYZeh 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol you have no fucking clue who you’re talking to.

It’s called having social skills you autistic kid on the internet. Arguing with some store manager drone is absolutely pointless.

OnyxDog 1 point ago +1 / -0

Is that “cucked” area Canada by chance?

2
Ghostof_PatrickHenry 2 points ago +2 / -0

Central Virginia.

Lots of based people here, throughout the region. (particularly out beyond the suburbs) But the middle-class in the region is more affluent than most of the country-- and affluence leads to complacency and political indifference. (I also know a lot of guys who were once cool but married leftist women and now are complete cucks.) Richmond proper is a third-world shit-hole. The corruption of city hall is well known, and now the once revered Monument Avenue looks more like a project from southside Chicago.

ITS JUST LIKE HOLLYWOOD!

BlueArmband 8 points ago +8 / -0

The blue masks are the armband. If you wear them in public at "masks required" stores just wear them on your arm.

2
RizzlieDoodad 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nah

11
BlueArmband 11 points ago +11 / -0

Or just don't wear them! Other people will start taking them off!

11
RizzlieDoodad 11 points ago +11 / -0

Some do. Not all do. It follows the tipping point logic by Gladwell. Some people don't want to wear them and are looking for others to "grant" them permission to not wear them.

3
RandoMando2A 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not until big groups start going on walks through stores maskless. One lone wolf has no effect and can be told to leave. 10 or more packing together and strolling through will be left alone and have the effect of influencing others. Even here in LA. (Mask Central)

2
Giant_Robot 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Mask required" stores won't get my business anymore unless there is a legal mandate. Enough is enough.

3
BlueArmband 3 points ago +3 / -0

The mandates are all executive. A lot of places in some states have the signs up by "law" but its not enforced.

1
Dimensia89 1 point ago +2 / -1

Now that's an idea.....wearing masks as armbands...

5
RedSocks157 5 points ago +5 / -0

Maybe, but they're not dumb. Just scared, because of the never ending message being rammed down their throats. They're not idiots but they are humans... And that makes them as capable of greatness and as susceptible to folly as we are.
