Yeah, and yea. I agree completely. I've no desire to be spit at, arrested, argued with. Wearing a mask is not the hill to die on, not for me. I'll bear arms for the election, though. I'll do my best to keep our democracy alive.
It’s not a hill I’ll die on but I’ve been doing well this entire time. I was walking around yesterday with no one around and some Karen looking lady stopped her car next to me and said “can I ask you a question?” I got the vibe that she was going to yell at me for not wearing a mask while around no one else I don’t already live with, so I said “not today!” And kept on walking.
Person I was with said I didn’t have to be an asshole about it. It’s a sad thing when some people don’t realize that it’s the folks trying to shame you into wearing a mask in all situations that are the assholes.
I’m actually not anti mask, and wouldn’t mind wearing it on public transit or something if I did that anymore. I am completely against the religious symbol wearing a mask in public while not around other people has become, and leadership trying to mandate things they have no legal right to mandate.
Mask in a store? Great, it’s your store, and I’ll have to decide whether to mask up or not go. Mask outside or in public parks or while out by yourself in a canoe in the middle of the water? Go fuck yourself. I almost feel like chasing people that try to shame you for being alone in public away from others without a mask. Chase them and breath on them. The onus is on anyone that wants to isolate to do it. I’ll even help them. The onus isn’t on everyone else.
One local person here told me they don’t like others going out because they themselves are vulnerable and quarantining themselves and it isn’t fair if it’s just them. It is entirely fair. You think you’re at risk so you acted accordingly. Others don’t so they act accordingly. Zero risk to anyone self isolating. And if there isn’t, there’s also no reason to do it.
Depends. If I’m outside and someone stops me and starts being a jerk they’ve picked the wrong guy. But guess what I’m 6’3 and jacked no one says anything to me ever when I’m walking around.
If I’m going inside a building to use whatever services they sell I see no point getting into an argument with a brainwashed drone. It’s their business and I’m buying something.
Nobody has an issue showing up at the office wearing a suit and a button down shirt. Refusing to wear a mask in a store that has a mandatory mask policy and going Pikachu face when some moron is enforcing their rule (however stupid) is akin to being a purple haired obese soyboy leftist who cries because they never get hired by anyone.

I have to wear a mask to go to Church. The Priest gave a tremendous sermon about it back in July. His rationale: the Church is filled with old people.
So, I bite my tongue with that.
However, I will not go anywhere else that requires it. Pharmacy/Grocery/etc. Nope. I’ll have it delivered.

Pro-tip: the hills just keep getting bigger.
How are you going to take up arms against someone if you're afraid of arguing with them?
The real question.
The answer: he won't.
