I don't think we should be encouraging or forcing members to have multiple accounts here. It would be nice to see a number of accounts, and have that correlate that pretty exactly with number of unique, individual members.
In that spirit, perhaps our illustrious mods could do something to help members with lost passwords to regain control of their accounts? Not sure about the specifics of how to do that, but maybe we should be working on it?
Otherwise, the numbers we have won't really represent our popularity.

Use a password manager to prevent issues like this from happening in the future. Always generate a unique password for all sites. Don’t reuse the same password anywhere.

There's a retrieve password option, but only if you used an email to sign up, which is optional.
I was similarly affected this morning, but I searched my password manager in Brave browser and found the password to my account.
