Meanwhile in PA: (paraphrased mine)

Lawyer: "Hey Judge. A crime is about to happen. Would you help us prevent it?" The Judge, to answer: "No. The crime has not yet been committed."

A bit later, the crime got commited.

Lawyer: "Hey Judge, The crime has been committed. Would you help us rectify the situation?" The Judge, To Answer: "No. The deed is done. There's nothing I can do now."
