I talked with my friend who is a Doctor in New Mexico. He had some good insights. He thinks COVID is more contagious than Flu but not as deadly as originally hypothesized. He said part of the problem leading to hospital over-runs is the hysteria whipped up by the media. Specifically, whereas if someone had the flu, they might make one doctor visit and go home to recover. But with COVID since the media is constantly telling people they are dying, they end up coming back to the Doctor 2 or 3 times. He thinks it was dumb to keep kids out of school. He expects the vaccines to get us back to normal very soon. He does say the hospitals are over run but again, he thinks it is less about COVID and more about what the media is telling people about COVID.
