I work in risk management for a large bank. All I do all day is assess risk. In my professional opinion, it would make more sense to wait and see what happens then try to adapt to the situation as it unfolds rather than taking action before anything we predict to have occurred has occurred. Why? Because the risk that we have predicted incorrectly and thus overcompensate on our correction, thus creating more unforeseen problems that are worse than the actual problem we're trying to correct for is too great and warrants literally doing nothing until we have time to gather more evidence of the actual impacts rather than predicted impacts.
Now, this assessment is of course without looking at all the facts but the facts surrounding climate change read more like a religion trying to justify itself with itself as the proof than actual evidence of anything.
I've seen that movie. Don't get on the train and you will be fine.
