After DECADES of not teaching basic science, history, math the gen pop is too stoopid, frightened to be able to think. Too much bread and circuses (sports and cheap pizza) In medicine even after treatment, aids, TB, malaria, is still present.. And MOST folks today dont know that green plants trees etc "breath" CO2 and give off oxygen.
