That's kind of the point. They've turned the business and the consumer against each other. If the businesses don't push back then the consumer must. We all lose if neither pushes back.
An unlawful fine that won’t be held up in court. Mandates are NOT laws and laws cannot be passed or instituted by any single entity. Newsom can go sit in the corner and suck his thumb. He cannot single handedly pass a law. No governor can for that matter. And shut up about the emergency pandemic clause BS. There is no legitimate pandemic going on according to legal definition of pandemics.
Kate Brown has, and we can't get the matter to SCOTUS. We voted down a new sales tax not long ago. She made it happen by mandate. It's no longer a person being taxed on buying a product, the business is being taxed on the sale of it (not to be confused with taxing their profits). The way democrat governors keep it working is that either right before or after SCOTUS, they change the wording make some slight variations and its a new law in the eyes of the court. Nothing short of federal intervention or war will stop this behavior.
Also you got to dish out a lot of money to fight those fines. Forget about getting to SCOTUS without a notable lawyer. No way they'll take a case from some guy from the sticks by himself.
That's great, but where I'm at, the businesses get fined for that. Maybe a maskless mob will work in their defense, though. Aim for the self checkout!
