Here is some context for those of you not in the know. Lion Ted is offering to present oral arguments to SCOTUS for the PA Case!!

From Lying Ted to Lion Ted

488
TheMadManDidItAgain 488 points ago +494 / -6

I always thought he was a Lion... I still do. I just like the guy.

336
Saltypede 336 points ago +338 / -2

I voted for him in primaries if I had to go back I'd choose trump all day, but I've always been a fan of him

260
Aoikaze2000 260 points ago +262 / -2

I think he needed to be humbled at the time. I've been rightly impressed with him since, to the point that Ted Cruz is the counterpoint for the term limits he seeks as he just keeps getting better in the senate as he gets more experienced. I'll keep voting for him if he stays unbought.

171
Huginn 171 points ago +173 / -2

Anymore I wonder if simply solving voter fraud would eliminate the need for term limits. Perhaps term limits were never the real problem.

65
Aoikaze2000 65 points ago +65 / -0

I dunno... but given what we have seen, I think putting them in place would reduce the incentive to do voter fraud as it's easy to buy off one or two, but harder when you need to buy more people more often.

50
RedPillMissionary 50 points ago +50 / -0

yeah these retards with 100 million net worth as politicians is fucking absurd. We're supposed to believe they're just business geniuses with amazing side hustles and family success that just HAPPENED to skyrocket while they were 'public servants?' Snakes the lot of em.

16
Aoikaze2000 16 points ago +16 / -0

And for those... we should invite them for a capital... "swing"

15

this is the part that gets me the most. low 6 figure salary but they or their spouse ends up being worth hundreds of millions?

no one is that good with finances. Biden's bother made billions in Iraq as a building contractor with no experience in construction

only can happen if you are dirty

I've yet to have anyone explain to me how term limits stop the corporate machine from just sending a new drone through every time they run out.

30
A1waysLurk1ing 30 points ago +30 / -0

Ban lobbyists, they are the conduits through which most of the money is laundered.

29
Fluffy_Indigo 29 points ago +29 / -0

That I can get behind. People should still have a right to petition and speak to their elected officials but paid lobbyists should be banned.

14

That plus it means you just have a newbie every time that gets rolled by their more or less permanent staff who know how things really work.

And who chiefly populates the permanent political class? The left.

6
deleted 6 points ago +6 / -0
2
MSG1000 2 points ago +2 / -0

Except their positions are only permanent because retarded union rules. Throw that out and most there won’t last.

1
AstronoMink 1 point ago +1 / -0

If term limits are a thing, then permanent staff can no longer be permanent.

Idea: Every time a new official is elected, they get to immediately & up until a certain extended period of time (6 months to a year) change every single staff member under their jurisdiction if they so chose with none of the typical govt employee repercussions/safety nets. No immunity, no union interference, & no unemployment checks because working for the govt should be considered part of the job as a civil duty/service & not regular employment. Allow candidates to be able to meet with the staff the year up to the election & encourage them to provide a list of all the people they would rehire or replace with whom as part of their platform.

Not sure if it's a good idea, because that system could be abused, too, but it would also provide government employees plenty of incentive to actually do their jobs properly & in a more fair, less biased, bipartisan manner assuming they want to stick around.

10
AnomalusCitizen7375 10 points ago +10 / -0

I think that the primaries were pretty rough, and there was some bad blood between Trump and Cruz.

That said, I'm very glad they were able to bury the hatchet, and honestly, I think Ted was won over by Trump. I think Ted's absolute commitment to the MAGA cause is proof of that.

They say that nobody fights harder for a cause or for a person than a former opponent honestly converted. Ted Cruz shows the truth of that statement.

11
qwertyuiop123 11 points ago +11 / -0

Trump accused his dead father of having murdered JFK, lmfao. You can understand why he was pissed off. funniest thing ever though.

5

Can confirm. Saw the rally in Houston Trump put on to stump for Cruz. I know that rally put Cruz over the edge, because there were a lot of sore folks after the GOP speech.

Wouldn't it be something if Cruz wins at the SC and gets Trump back in?

I can't see Mike Pence in the White House. He's certainly a good man, and might make a good president. But I'm not sure he has the charisma and energy to be a good candidate. Especially following in DJT's high-powered footsteps.

20

Pence is the ultimate second in command - some of us were born to be second in command just like some are born to be the chief. A great second is as important as a great first imo.

PeoplesRepublicNJ 11 points ago +12 / -1

I think your missing Kristi Noemi first.

Imagine if Republicans took the first women to the White House? Personally I don't give a rat's ass but it would capture so much of the white suburban mom vote that it would be another rather large nail in the Democrat coffin.

13
easyonthefiber 13 points ago +13 / -0

Imagine if GEOTOS decides he is woman, demanding people recognize that he now identifies as “Donna” Trump and is the first transgender president (coincidentally, by the left’s rules, he would also be the first female President). The mental gymnastic the left would do to tell us why it’s bad now.

When will the left stop giving a fuck about gender and race and instead focus on qualities of the person??

8
HateEngine 8 points ago +9 / -1

The suburban moms are a fickle bunch. I think you can't have a female candidate that is too attractive because they subconsciously look for a reason to dislike them. Look at all the crap that Palin took.

2
Marshall2 2 points ago +2 / -0

As much as suburban moms vote is considered monolithic, it is also a catfight if they don't think you agree with them 100%.

He should stick to the script and just do two terms, but then actively campaign for allies. But let’s be real, Trump is 74. He’s got maybe 10 good years left before age starts to wear on him. He should use his remaining time in life becoming a conservative media mogul and start a new organization to replace Murdoch’s creations. Once he’s out of office, the media empire he could build would be 10x as powerful as any personal campaigning he could do. Imagine the influence an organization of 40 million viewers would have. That’s what he needs to build as his final legacy.

3

terrible terrible idea. third parties always cause their opponents to be elected, it's practically a law of nature.

take over the GOP and shove the RINOs out in the snow

1
Ragnar_Danneskjold 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well no, not always. Proven by the fact that neither of the current parties at the top right now even existed at the founding of the nation. At some point, they were both created in a political landscape where other parties were at the top, and those other parties withered away and were replaced by what we have now. It has happened before and it can happen again.

4
TalmudIsToiletPaper 4 points ago +4 / -0

I keep thinking about that whole, "I will come again not as the lamb, but as the lion" phrasing.

And the "Christmas Star" conjunction on Dec. 21st of Jupiter and Saturn.

1
the_great_REEEset 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think it should be seriously considered. As we all can clearly see now - particularly post 2020 election - the current Republican Party has been overrun by a bunch of globalist, neo-con, RINO, traitorous assholes!

From Texas... Ted wasn't exactly loved back in the Reddit dayz. If fact I'd say back then he was a closet Never Trumper. But that race against Loco Beto kinda humbled him. He saw the light. Joined the fight. Became a member of the Right.

20

I still get panic attacks from how close that fucking race was and all the idiots driving around here with BETO stickers, Texas is being infiltrated by commies.

We need to instantiate the policy of evicting freedom hating foreigners, then we can annex them and carryout the policy there. Otherwise we'd just be opening the door for all the radical Islamic terrorists they're importing.

Hell yeah. I've always loved Cruz. Before I hopped on the Trump train I wanted him to be the nominee. Now I'm glad that Cruz is able to use his legal skills to help GEOTUS in front of the Supremes.

Who knows, Cruz might still be president someday. It just wasn't his time.

He hadn't yet learned how to win. He needed Trump to show him. He's taking to it nicely. In politicians, winning needs time to stabilize and mature.

2
BilbroNaggins 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'll rather have him as Justice of the Supreme Court, the Lion + his 6 justices' pride.

2

I didn’t like him when I was brainwashed on an inferior site I forget the name of. He’s been pretty solid though, and the beard does not deter.

10

And eventually become a member of the United States Supreme Court as well.

6
InSaNeOldGuy 6 points ago +6 / -0

Just hope he's up to the task... At any rate it will draw attention to our cause.

11
tombombadil 11 points ago +11 / -0

He has argued before the Supreme Court before and won. He’s probably the best person in the country to have going in there.

3
InSaNeOldGuy 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's true.. Nine trips to the SC, lost four / won two. The other three rulings were less clear-cut. Arguing before the SC is different than any other court. He'll talk for a minute or two then the justices will ask him a lot of questions. Gotta be sharp. Hope this happens soon...

Brillica 16 points ago +17 / -1

lol, it's a change.org petition to ban driving due to the death rate of accidents;

Only 99.02% of people live when they get into a car accident. That means that 0.98% of people DIE when they get into a car accident. When you compare that to the EXTREMELY DEADLY coronavirus which only 99.97% of people live from, that's a MASSIVE increase.

We have rightfully shut down everything and locked everyone in their homes for the horrible Coronavirus pandemic, but our wonderful leaders have IGNORED the dangerousness of driving and cars on the road!

The numbers DO NOT lie! 0.03% compared to 0.98%! Your chances of dying from a car accident are over 3000 times higher than from Covid, but our elected officials have blatantly refused to do anything about this!

We all know how horrid the coronavirus is, and we demand to be protected from something even more deadly! We drive we die! It's time to start banning cars, and banning driving. Let's break up those roads, and do something much more useful and safe with them. Perhaps a place where we can erect statues to honor some great people who have STOOD UP for the safety of their constituents! Leaders like Joseph Stalin, Kim-Jung-il, Vladimir Lenin, Mao Zedong, Karl Marx, and many other famous and knowledgeable men. It's high time that we refuse the dangerous positions of a radical and unsafe US Constitution, and focus on what really matters, even moreso than freedom: safety.

Zodiac messages started to mysteriously appear on the desks of a few people in question...

3
MaximoLiberatos-II 3 points ago +4 / -1

Lol, what's with Ted and the Zodiac, I've seen a few comments?

8
Martel_West 8 points ago +8 / -0

It started during the 2016 primaries when some people started making memes about it, seemingly for no reason. Wikipedia says the meme took off after someone on Twitter "used Photoshop to edit a picture of a Republican debate in order to include 'Is Ted Cruz the Zodiac Killer?' in the interactive ticker at the bottom."

Its funny because of how absurd it is; the Zodiac killer was active in the 60s, but Cruz was born in 1970. The meme was cemented into popular culture when Ted himself actually tweeted out one of the Zodiac cryptograms in response to an accusation that his father killed JFK.

5
MaximoLiberatos-II 5 points ago +5 / -0

Awesome thanks! Glad we have wise old Pedes who know the old tales and can pass them on like the Grampa at the end of the bar!

Ted Cruz is made of steel. He was my guy before the Ultimate Warrior entered the arena.

7
Randomwithaj 7 points ago +8 / -1

I voted for Ted Cruz in the 2016 primaries against President Trump. I have always considered myself a Jeffersonian Constitutionalist, and I thought then (and still do) that Donald Trump is too dependent on big government solutions to our problems. Of course, when Ted lost the primary, I enthusiastically backed Trump over Hillary.

I understood very quickly that GEOTUS was the best choice for our country at this moment in our history, and that Ted, Constitutionalist though he is, could never gather Americans under one big populist tent the way Donald Trump has.

That being said, this is Ted Cruz’s historical moment - this is his forte. If anyone can successfully argue a case before SCOTUS, it’s him. My heart will be lifted if Ted Cruz saves our country in this way. Go get them, Lion Ted!

3
Ragnar_Danneskjold 3 points ago +3 / -0

I 100% agree with all of that. I know that sometimes you do need a big fucking hammer to destroy something, but I am personally really looking forward to when the Deep State and the Communist infiltrators are well and truly destroyed and we can lock the hammer of Big Government back in its vault, not to be touched again until it's needed, hopefully several centuries in the future.

3
Bender4Prez 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ditto. All of it.

1
Deplorable_in_PA 1 point ago +2 / -1

I too voted for Cruz in the primaries as well. I've always been a fan of his, he's been a stalwart conservative voice in congress. But I think Ted just lacked the killer instinct, the will and fight to go bare knuckles with the commie media and just tear into Shrillary. In the end I know we made the right choice with Trump, but I would love to see Ted at least be VP and maybe prez after Mike Pence serves his 2 terms.
