Holy shit. That is not surprising at all but really sickening when you stop to think about it.

I hope you still are friends and support him as much as you can! A good friend of mine is in a similar situation; completely rejected and ignored by friends of 15+ years. It’s insane.

So glad to hear ! My friend doesn't have that luxury, sadly, since we're older. I hate seeing the division that's happening right now.

Yup! Problem is, we can see it. They cannot, as they've been long indoctrinated into thinking we're nazis, horrible, racist, and it helps them feel superior, while in reality they're everything that they hate. They just can't realize it. We have issues on our side as well, but nothing nearly as bad. We also have each other, and a community based in understanding, instead of a community based in hate/stereotypes.

I hope that many of them can wake up, understand, and make the change. I just don't know how to fix it, though.

That "teacher" should be fired, and ostracized from the profession completely.

Did you speak up when the teacher humiliated your classmate?

You should have asked the teacher why he was humiliating your classmate. You obviously knew that what was happening was wrong. You missed your chance to be a man.

His parents should have sued the school and gotten the asshole fired. That teacher has no business being around kids.

Lawsuit. Set for life.

See: the Nicholas Sandmann kid. (He is a man now.)

Damn. That's awful.
