If any of you don't recall the last post, i went for an employment drug screening and left with a Disorderly Conduct: Language charge. I called her a cunt when she wouldn't give me a urinalysis until i pulled the mask over my nose.. Just left the pre-trial conference. They offered me 3 years probation and 4 months in jail. Set it to trial. Apparently in America words are violence and just like Britain, you can be sent to jail for it. As it is a misdemeanor they have denied my request for a jury trial. Looks like this pedes getting a show trial by some leftwing activist judge before I am summarily imprisoned. Can't believe I fought for this country. Our rights are being litigated away while current military think they are fighting to protect them. Fuck these commie pieces of shit!! Carry on the fight without me boys! I'll be with you in spirit!!

Fuck! I almost received a class 2 misdemeanor for “criminal littering”. I ashed my cigarette out of my window on my way to work before the sun came up. The cop saw sparkles and pulled me over. I told him I don’t flick my butts out the window and showed him my ash tray. He had already wrote it up. I spent $2,500 on a fucking lawyer and they reduced it to community service. Then I got lucky and didn’t have to do community service because COVID was brand new so I just donated school supplies instead and they dismissed it all.
I hate that cop so much. I needed that money really fucking bad at the time, but no way in hell I was going to be a “criminal” in AZ for the rest of my fucking life because of that shit. I wish you luck fren!

I’m pretty used to people who hate smokers like me with an undying passion, but sometimes those people are in positions of authority and can use their power against you instead of only judging you from a distance(reminds me of Fuhqreddit’s story since he isn’t in the cult of Covid and they’re trying to throw the book at him). The main reason I decided to hire a lawyer was because I was worried my bad luck would continue and I’d get a judge that hates smokers too. I think the max they would have fucked me for was $750 in fines and 6 months in jail. I couldn’t take the risk.
It’s such a stupid application of a stupid law that MAYBE someone could assume a judge would just dismiss it, but I know my luck when it comes to cops and judges. Lol

I had the free consultation with the lawyer and he said he could go for the dashcam footage and other evidence, but I know that the cops word pretty much counts for law here and a dashcam wouldn’t have caught it anyways because of how small it is. It was nice that my lawyer was able to go to court for me though, so I never had to go anywhere except when I dropped off my donations and had them sign off. I don’t think I would have been able to talk them down to community service and then talk them down again into doing a donation of basically $40.00 though.
I’ve always hated plea deals because of all the threats you get if you don’t take it. “You’ll go to jail!” “We’ll throw the book at you if you don’t accept!” It just reeks of corruption.

Yes it was. It was funny at first because I remember looking up this “weird looking” traffic ticket trying to find out what the ticket would cost, only to find out I was a criminal. Haha I lost some sleep to anger for a while after that.
How is there even CRIMINAL littering? And how could it apply to one measly butt , you'd think it'd be only for massive dumps like dumping truckloads of waste onto an unguarded construction site
The Democrats and RINO’s couldn’t pass up a law like that considering the fires and how trashy the bigger cities look. It’s worded as a catch-all law though. I think it’s either throwing something out of your vehicle 0-100 pounds or something like that and also if it’s “dangerous material” like spent fuel rods or cigarette butts. They word it that way so that normal people like us would assume it’s for that exact scenario you gave as an example, but they can still collect some money from the little people.
The cops here have always given me the impression that they’re extremely bored. They either don’t have enough actual crimes to keep them busy, or they’d rather just go after the safe crimes that means they don’t have to risk anything.
I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, outside of Tacoma, wa. One of the guys in my unit got a ‘no pay due’ for two months because he was new to the unit and was a chain smoker. A Washington state cop followed him for about 15 minutes, counted the number of butts he tossed out the window and wrote him a ticket for each one. $1025.00/each. The court sent the fine to his commander and the post and they docked his pay.
They really wanted to prove that they’re in it for the money with that one. That sucks!

My boyfriend got the same shit for telling a Sheniqua to get her fat fucking ass out of the entrance to our subdivision. She said she was skeered. The charge was "fear". He never left his truck just shouted from his truck.
He just kept pleading not guilty and turning down all the offers. It was dismissed but it took two years. The police never should have charged him as it did not meet the "fear" charge and we are now suing the city.
The first offer is to scare you. Take it to trial......there is no law for words. If you made a physical threat thats different.
