Many of you recall that during the cold war, schoolchildren were instructed to get under their desks during a nuclear strike; and ran routine drills in the case of an emergency

Of course, there is nothing about getting under a desk that is going to protect someone from a building-evaporating wave of plasma level heat energy, any more than getting under a desk is going to protect one from a tornado that rips the roof off the building and sucks schoolchildren up into the sky to land of course, safely in OZ. Who says it can't have a happy ending?

In the real world though, desks don't stop tornados or nuclear blasts. At all

No chance.

So why do it? To elicit a sense of calm and to assuage panic. That's all it is. It's a psychological salve

Just like a tongue suppressor. A ritual to get people mentally situated. They are doing it as a public mass of calm and order in the face of moral panic. A social ritual of calm-making.

The masks are the EXACT same thing.

They are scientifically proven NOT to work. Yet we've changed all of society in a the space of pretty much a month, and continued the mass, for nearly a year now

And those that defy the Church of Government's mass rites, then you are disruptive and the Clergy must take action against you.

My friend gave me this idea and I told her I'd wirte it up for you all.

Wearing a mask is like having a designated area in a pool to pee in
