Also, this administrative leave is a joke. I would bet money it's basically paid vacation.

The teachers are already on paid vacation. This is like double secret paid vacation.

BS

I'm working 60+ hours a week right now. Recording videos, streaming live sessions, office hours, besides all of the regular work I do with assessments, lesson plans, grading, and all of the bureaucratic crap they throw at me.

My school just added an advisory class period so I can connect with students who are struggling with life right now. Students I've never met before. Trying to fix a problem that our "pro-education" Governor created. I'm not a psychologist or therapist. I'm not their parent or friend. I don't have the qualifications for that.

I want to be back in the classroom as soon as possible bc this is unsustainable and completely unhealthy for students.

I get that there are a lot of left-wing nut jobs like this woman, but please don't lump us all together. Some of us are working as hard as we can and it's not a vacation.

I personally understand that some teachers are hard-working and passionate but i would hope that you understand that many people had shit teachers in school, endured constant complaining in the media from teachers unions (about the profession they chose to enter), had idiot friends who became teachers and think that they have become saints and had idiot teachers trying to harass (or worse, brainwash) our own children.

At some stage it comes to a point where the average person says "Fucking hell I can't stand teachers!". Obviously there are exceptions to the rule but the rule is still valid.
