I used to joke way back before masks became mandatory that it was never easier to stand out to women, all you had to do was stand up tall chest out and confidently traverse the supermarket mask less. I literally could feel the vibes from my female fellow shoppers. Merry Christmas is even easier.
OTOH, I'm a middle-aged lady pede, and it seems that whenever I speak to depressed young men respectfully and in a friendly way (you know, like a fellow human being), they start to stand up straight and sound more confident. I'm the Antikaren!
These things go both ways, and we need to be civil to each other when we can.
