It has felt more like how I imagine living in a lot of Arab countries is like, widespread political unrest and violence, sectarian hatred (but between Democrats and Republicans instead of Shias and Sunnis) and a media so incredibly biased that you are forced to look only at alternative or foreign media to get the truth.
