is there no forgot password link/ability? I have to remember like 40 passwords for work and half I have to change every 30/60/90 days and all the other bullshit with it so I keep em all on a notepad. shhhhh don't tell my IT admin.
Can confirm. Passwords get easier to crack and people write them down because they don't know "version" of the password they're on. Best password is one that's complex but easy to remember and makes sense to a human.
I have a bunch of lesser passwords that COULD be broken, but then people can get on here and read this, or perhaps they could watch Steven Crowder's episodes in full, even the parts that only Mug Club gets.
And then I have an Important Password which is around 40 characters long and is a combination of abbreviations, initials, dates, and other numbers that will mean nothing to anyone who is not me (not my birthday, or anyone else's birthday, but days when things that only I would consider important happened. An abbreviation for a character in a game that is based on my original MISPRONUNCIATION of that character's name. The number of hours I had to wait to leave after finishing my Comprehensive Exam in highschool, when I felt REALLY sick, but wasn't able to leave until time was up, to maintain Test Security. Nobody but me will know any of these things, and even if they did, they don't understand why they're in the order they're in.)
Any password I've ever had to change every x days? Always easy to remember bullshit that anyone who knew my middle name could guess. Because I can't be bothered to come up with a fucking Cryptogram Cypher every month to be able to read company newspeak paradigm bullshit.
lol, this just tells any hackers that the password is guaranteed to contain a number, special character, a lowercase and an uppercase, and that at least 1 uppercase and 1 number are in the first 6 chars.
The most inportant feature for password security is length. It's also easier for humans to remember long phrases than random combinations of numbers and symbols.
Unfortunately, many websites still have a maximum length for the password field. Worse yet, that max is often less than 100 characters.
Microsoft onenote is great for passwords. I have a password protected notebook of all my passwords. Of course if I forget the master password I'm SOL, but that will never happen unless I get severe brain damage like Biden.
Be careful fren, Microdick onenote is not a safe place to put passwords. Get a real password manager like Bitwarden, it safer and makes your life easier. Just make sure to write down your master password and hide it somewhere safe!
There's so many accounts and passwords and so many websites to log into. Much easier to just let the browser autogenerate and store passwords. Then if you lose it, just get a new password via email authentication.
Google (and Last Pass) do checks to see if your password is compromised so it's actually really convenient (and good) for anyone who doesn't consistently change passwords -- which is most people.
Some people have a lot for work. I probably have 30 for work. And I would use an easy to remember system but they all have different requirements and crap. I use browser auto fill and such but eventually you get where you forget one or need to login from a different computer which sucks
Before I got a password manager I thought I had 15 passwords, after I realized I had over 200. What gets measured gets managed so I use a password manager.
Use a password manager like Keepass or Lastpass. Too many issues with browser stored passwords. Between myself, work, and several other tech impaired users, I have a few hundred username/passwords I have to manage. Would be difficult to do without one.
Same thing for a PC/laptop, it can get destroyed aswell or fried. You can be hacked, i recently had 2 of my emails hacked into. You can lose a thumbdrive or hard drive aswell. Your password manager can all of a sudden forget all your passwords, a glitch if you will.
Keeping a password book isnt as risky or complicated as youre trying to make it sound. Use a little brain power and you wont leave it in a place it can be stolen or lost, you'll keep it secure. Who is gonna break into a house and look for a password book to steal anyways lol. Tearing it up for disposal is more than enough for your average internet user.
Here you are reaching for any possible scenario in which a book would be bad.
The only real worries i have because im not irresponsible and dont surround myself with idiots that would start throwing books away that arent theirs. Is fire, natural disaster, the off chance i spill something on it. Otherwise its been easy and reliable for a decade so far.
To anyone who lost their pw, go look it up in your passwords tabs in chrome, if that's your browser. it can be found under settings on the top right of your screen. Should still be there, even if autofill cannot find it.
for some reason my Password manager wasn't recognizing the site to auto fill but when I searched the PW Manager I was able to get mine, good thing too, that password is randomly generated you would need 4chan level brain power to remember that string.
Same over a year old!
Us OGS out here I lost my original account though

SpringPassword2020
SummerPassword2020
AutumPassword2020
WinterPassword2020
Constant resetting makes passwords less secure.
Any IT worth anything should know that.
You're far better off requiring an annoying authenticator.
Can confirm. Passwords get easier to crack and people write them down because they don't know "version" of the password they're on. Best password is one that's complex but easy to remember and makes sense to a human.
https://xkpasswd.net/s/
The only password acceptable is Trump2020 unless it's Trump2024
Disagree. Trump4Eva is my password.
"hardest" to crack Password is something like 4 words that the user knows. ie. thebigreddog or yearbookbluebinder
Is “BillClintonIsARapist;EpsteinDidn’tKillHimself;HisNameIsSethRich” a strong password?

a few of the passwords are like this;
password can't match any part of past 15 passwords
has to contain a number, special character, a lowercase and an uppercase
at least 1 uppercase and 1 number have to be in the first 6 char.
there's a couple other rules i'm missing I think.
for the most part I can get away with a !01 !02 !03 !04 .... which helps.
Your IT admin is a fucktard. Sorry to tell you.
shhhhh... govt. lol bureaucracy is real.
How about “BillClintonIsARapist;EpsteinDidn’tKillHimself;HisNameIsSethRich;Trump2020”
lol, this just tells any hackers that the password is guaranteed to contain a number, special character, a lowercase and an uppercase, and that at least 1 uppercase and 1 number are in the first 6 chars.
Makes it fucking easy to bruteforce it.
And that most people will use a 1 if they're not using their Birthday, and usually a ! because why not?
that reminds me, my battle.net account is more secure than dominion.
My battle.net account got stolen this year actually. That sucked. They were like if it happens again sorry but you lose everything.
Do you have an authenticator, mobile or otherwise? My account has had no problems like that after I went mobile authenticator.
Why are you still using Blizzard products? I started sending them shemale porn.

Try keepass it’s free and works like a charm
thanks fren
How does that work? Just feels like all my eggs in one basket sort of thing.
Handing off all my passwords to someone I don’t know. Seems crazy to me.
I feel like I should be using something but can’t jump that hurdle yet.
It saves them locally, not in the cloud. They have an app as well that you have to use Dropbox to move the saved file from your pc to the phone.
Did you try "spezisacuck"?
Always has been
Does it give a start date? Can't find it but it was around the end of TD at reddit
Those bitches closed r/trump too
It's nice! On TDWin b day I noticed how many others shared it with me.... Today there are many less
Sorry for your loss pedes.
Same lol
Old guy with a notebook for the win!
Yet another in a long line of missed opportunities!
🍻
Some of the best comedy requires a team!
Original stickies...post it’s for the win!
Post its?
Whoa, whoa, whoa! We got us a rich kid here!
😂
An address book for the alphabet pages.
Absolutely what I did fren. I went to the safe, looked at the paper-o-passwords, typed 12345 back in, and BOOM back in da club.
Really had no clue it was going to be such a big ordeal for so many.
Microsoft onenote is great for passwords. I have a password protected notebook of all my passwords. Of course if I forget the master password I'm SOL, but that will never happen unless I get severe brain damage like Biden.

If I lost this account with this username, I'd be pissed
no shit.
Account Gang!
What happened with the passwords???
If you had yours saved in windows it's still there; just have to look it up.
Authentication is done through a diffrent domain so it isnt automatically filled in, people just didnt realize
Or you know, write it down in a secure place like a smart person.
There's so many accounts and passwords and so many websites to log into. Much easier to just let the browser autogenerate and store passwords. Then if you lose it, just get a new password via email authentication.
Why do you use so many websites? I only use a handful often, the rest are written down for when i need them.
Just because its easy doesnt mean its good, like paper ballots vs voting machines.
Google (and Last Pass) do checks to see if your password is compromised so it's actually really convenient (and good) for anyone who doesn't consistently change passwords -- which is most people.

For high internet use like that im sure its worth it.
Before I got a password manager I thought I had 15 passwords, after I realized I had over 200. What gets measured gets managed so I use a password manager.

There are other websites?
Never heard of password management tools, like lastpass or 1password?
Same thing for a PC/laptop, it can get destroyed aswell or fried. You can be hacked, i recently had 2 of my emails hacked into. You can lose a thumbdrive or hard drive aswell. Your password manager can all of a sudden forget all your passwords, a glitch if you will.

"Secure."
I said smart person, keeping it on top of your desk for anyone to get to obviously isnt smart
Here you are thinking only the top of your desk is open to "helpful cleaning."
Eddie Bravo has entered the chat.

That's weird, I just see a bunch of stars.
It’s makes no sense, it’s still saved, just have to look for it and click it.
new shill account for me :*( sad days
Same here. But, we’re Pedes - we will rebuild. Please accept my upvote.
updoot to you too pede
Sorry to hear that fren
did you check passwards in your browser settings? It saves them.
I didnt save it
I pity the fool who lost their password.
But I welcome them back.
Username checks out.
Can you spare an updoot for a lowly handshake new old Pede?
Any UpTrumps for the quiet members that remembered their passwords but have so little history we could easily be mistaken for a shiiiiiillllllllll?
Was going to make this exact meme tonight but hadn’t gotten to it yet. Summed up my feelings today. Glad we are on the same wave length!
no kidding.. my deport finger is tired
I can spot them a mile away. Handshake or not.
LOL me 4 2 mins earlier.
Can relate. Didn't put in an email so there's no recovering. :(
Same. Here’s my updoot, Pede. We will rebuild.
So we have no way of getting our old accounts back?
Don’t think so
Yeah, but it won't work as I already hit "Reset My Password" and my old account is now bricked.
All Your Password Are Belong To Us
Wouldn't be the first time. Bill Gates has experience with making people infertile with vaccines.
How come I never got logged out?
I frickin knew it
His faggotry transcends temporospatial boundaries.
To anyone who lost their pw, go look it up in your passwords tabs in chrome, if that's your browser. it can be found under settings on the top right of your screen. Should still be there, even if autofill cannot find it.
Password gang!
There should be a badge for those who have their original account :P
I had to change my user name, it wouldn’t take the password I had. Password was written down so it wasn’t geriatric forgetfulness.
for some reason my Password manager wasn't recognizing the site to auto fill but when I searched the PW Manager I was able to get mine, good thing too, that password is randomly generated you would need 4chan level brain power to remember that string.
The URL changed, that is why it did not show up.
Change the URL in your password manager to authentication.win and it will work.
then password is handled by "authenticator.win" and then passed to the donald.
How the fuck have so many people lost their accounts lol
I used to be cool....
Wait, did everyone else have to reset their .win password today because they got signed out by someone/thing?
High five to those who remembered their passwords
Does it mean anything that I was the 1776 upvote? Is that an omen? Hmmmm?
Lmao atleast it doesnt lock you out for failing... I remembered my password on about the 20th try
Hey guys, can someone write down my password in case I forget it again?
It's WhereIsHunter2?
For anyone that forgot their password, try "spezisacuck"
Lol, I use updoots as a marker that I've read stuff.
UPDOOTS FOR ALL! (Unless I need to deport a hoe)
😁 I searched high& low for my password just to avoid being new again!
I created a backup just for fun. Pepe_Le_Pede
Also worth noting, probably should be aware of shills who may be building a normal post history just to try and shill later
Took me a while but I finally got my password back 😄
Ah, this must be the Great Reset I keep hearing about?
Pissed off! I lost my veteran account that I've had for over a year!
Same. Takes a long time to build and gone in an instant.
BWHAHAHA f'real!
I was typing in the wrong user name 🤦🏻♀️
I feel like this is a trap.
shhh
LastPass
Yup..... she still here.... lady pede reporting for duty!! Cheers frens! <3 MAGA2020
It's a good thing I use real passwords for all of my accounts.
We an all see who logs out regularly to clear data and tracking to cover their porn views.
I'm guessing this was a slow news day?
how did so many people lose their password?
