There is no unified group "cops". There are individuals who have police officer as a job. Each one is as different and in charge of their own actions as any other individual. Some will make the right decisions, some will not, just like the rest of us.

Yea you have a good point. Police are needed to help with law and order in a civil society and unfortunately our government screws over the police and it in turn screws us over. Hopefully good reform will result out of all the chaos.
If the SCOTUS and state legislators and members of Congress fail to stop election fraud & swear in Biden as POTUS, then every institution in the country has failed.
In that case, there is no more laws to uphold (just order, but that depends on whose form of order). Cops from there on out are just armed individuals in dark uniform clothing.
