Maybe - I'm pretty quick with political speculation but this entire situation has me at a loss. This is one of the most active, dangerous, and rollercoaster US politics has been probably in my lifetime.
We are certainly watching a game of chess being played, with offensives defenses, and counters and feints. The problem is I cant tell what is what. Nothing adds up in the grand scheme. There are four pieces that indicate to me Trump has a ace in the hole no one knows about.
He reorganized the DOD and pardoned Flynn
Biden was blocked from intelligence briefings
3.Trump is still confidant.
4.I'm convinced Trump is a genuine patriot
Trump loses plenty, but he does so quietly. He's a master at choosing his battles. He has never haplessly stalled in a hopeless fight. He's the king of getting out when he knows he's lost, his business record is proof of that.
The best I can tell Trump is hoping beyond all hope that people play fair and step up (hence the twitter call outs). Failing that he hopes the courts can settle this legally <- you are here. If the courts are totally pozzed, I think he has a nuclear option so shattering in its implications that it would not only guarantee him re-election, but damage America in some way.
I think Trump wants to win the hard way, because he doesn't want to reveal whatever he has to reveal.
The house doesn't really pick the president. The state representatives do. Pence is the chair. No stalling or silly process changes from Pelosi. Also each state representative must vote along party lines. The founding fathers saw this coming and made it so corrupt politicians can't vote against their party.
From my understanding, if the House votes, every state gets 1 vote. And everyone must vote on party lines. I don't think you can switch. Republicans have a majority in the majority of the states. I don't think here is anything Pelosi can do about it.
It doesn’t matter. Nothing matters. Trump continues on as president, and he has a civilian army to back him.
