They wanted him to SO BADLY. How many times that we don't even know about has someone quietly approached Pence and started feeling him out about the 25th amendment?

And consider, Mike Pence obviously wants to be President. And most likely...he will not be. He represents the Republican party in an older form, and he's unlikely to be able to adapt to new right shitposting culture. Cruz, DeSantis, Noem...he's not likely to jump these emerging populist heroes to the front of the 2024 pack and he most likely knows it.

But the power and historical immortality he so badly wants is still right there for the taking. I'm sure every swamp asset that's tried to talk him into it has appealed to his ego, has reassured him that all he had to do was seize it, that there were enough swamp rats hidden in the cabinet to get him over the line, and that the swamp in congress would back him over Trump and the media would paint him as a hero saving the country from Trump. They probably even told him it would be the moral thing to do, that he'd be saving the old Christian right from libertine populist degenerates, that it's what God WANTS him to do.

But he never broke. God gave him the hardest test you can give a man like that, and he passed with flying colors. People may not memorize the name "Michael Pence" in second grade 200 years from now, but there is no form of immortality greater than actual eternal life in Heaven.
