The roadmap had to have been laid down by someone inside scotus on exactly what grounds to file. They told them exactly what they needed, who would take the case and how. Rudy was gathering the evidence and showing that the states didn’t care they had a rigged election by filling in their courts and showing their hand. On the other hand one or a few of states were waiting for the perfect time to file.

I’d like to see a Cruz/Paul or Paul/Cruz ticket. In either order. Jr in Senate/Governor first then Prez, so they can’t use the “riding daddy’s coattails” attack. Lin Wood or Rudy or some based lawyer for AG. Get rid of the FBI/CIA/NSA and have one clean national intelligence unit run by James O’Keefe, who is the best spy we have in the US IMO.

6
solarsavior 6 points ago +6 / -0

I have a feeling he took on the beard when he became Lion Ted. This makes it very easy to distinguish from his run of the mill politician days to his Lion Ted days.

I'm liking Cruz more than I did a few years ago, but he's still not a natural-born citizen. Not eligible to be POTUS.

5
TiaTisa 5 points ago +5 / -0

He's eligible. He is a citizen born abroad. The constitution is a little vague about this. https://www.thoughtco.com/presidents-not-born-in-the-us-3368103

4
NostalgicFuturist 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes, his mother was a native-born American citizen--like Obama's. As the article states, the Constitution is vague about this and we now have Obama's precedent. If Cruz runs in 2024 and someone challenges his eligibility in court on Constitutional grounds, he will have that precedent on his side. The court can't deny his eligibility without retroactively declaring Obama's presidency illegitimate, which is unlikely. (It was evil, but not technically illegitimate. And yes, I know, the birth certificate fraud...)

I'm a lifelong Texan. But I come from an area that I refer to as the asshole of Texas. "Small town about 45 mins outside of Houston." I mean don't get me wrong, growing up I thought it was great. But once you move out your eyes start to open lol.

I have now lived in the Texas hill country for the past 10 or so years and I would highly recommend. Lots of good towns to move to. New Braunfels, Bulverde, Comfort, San Marcos, Boerne. I live north of San Antonio and I love it.

7
Gravity 7 points ago +7 / -0

Right there with you pede! Just bought a home in Spicewood. Far enough from Austin to avoid the riots and crazy people, close enough to Lance's ranch to pass him on the bike once in a while.

2
Drawdraw45 2 points ago +2 / -0

Man I used to love going into Austin. I lived in San Marcos and New Braunfels from around 2010 - 2013, but now I haven't been in years.

Congrats on the home purchase pede! Sounds nice

2

Assuming Texas doesn't turn blue the Hill Country is where i'd like to end up. If Texas does turn blue I think my only option will be Wyoming.

1
Drawdraw45 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think the whole "Texas is trending blue" is fictional bullshit. But who knows, and yeah Wyoming would likely make a good last refuge lol.

DO IT! No state income tax. I became a home owner here at age 25, which I hear is unusual in some parts of the country.

We do have a stupid mask mandate, but other than that life is normal. Everything is open and everyone is back at work/school, out shopping, going out to eat, etc. I think I read that our economy is 90% back, and our governor has repeatedly said no to another lockdown.

I wish he would repeal the stupid mask mandate and leave it up to individuals/businesses, but compared to Michigan I'm sure Texas would seem like paradise.

3
solarsavior 3 points ago +3 / -0

No state income tax, but we do make up for it with property taxes so beware. At least with property taxes you can choose where you want to live and if you want to pay the taxes. You also have better visibility to where your property taxes go. The vast majority of my property taxes goes to the school district.

South Dakota? Oklahoma maybe?

I think every freaking red state should either join or file their own! How epic would that be???

Bellwether states like Florida and Ohio should definitely sue. Even with likely electronic machine fraud and expected inner city voting fraud, state voters soundly rejected Beijing Biden. They’ve predicted the last however many elections and their voters are being completely disenfranchised.

It is a myth that we, Texas, can legally secede from the union. Texas can legally be split into up to 5 states, but no Texan would be in favor of that.

2
deleted 2 points ago +2 / -0
3
Tusculan2pt0 3 points ago +3 / -0

In other words. Certain kinds of cases go to certain courts. Most cases have to wind their way through state courts first and then can be appealed to the federal courts and ultimately the supreme court. Tedious process and with Obama judges, it can be a minefield. But states suing other states can't take place in one of the state's courts. So for any lawsuit betwe n states it automatically goes to the federal bench. This is really quite a beautiful tactic. Texas is basically saying the illegal system used in these states not only disenfranchised their voters, but also disenfranchised Texas voters too since they all collectively count towards having one president. If texas can win this, it would be a huge play towards all states needing to have clean voter rolls and conducting fair elections.

2
Marshall2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Many in Texas were taught a false history. We were still being taught that we joined the Union by Treaty. In fact, that is what was sold and what we voted for, but we actually were annexed in a backroom deal because we couldn't get enough Senators to adopt the treaty.

The TEXAS History books didn't catch on for over one hundred years.
