Imagine everything we've been through since then and forgot. We need several books and documentaries to deep dive into the details and encapsulate the period of time surrounding his two terms.
Must include during shutdown Trump cancelling Nancy's flight while on runway and having her bags left unceremoniously at her office door.
It was back when they were smacking each other around over the shutdown and the border wall.
Nancy had (IIRC?) suggested (threatened?) a delay of SOTU until after the shutdown, so then Trump cancelled her flight on a military aircraft and sent a letter suggesting she should stay and negotiate instead of her "excursion." But he waited until they were on the runway. They sat there a long time before having to tuck tail and return to their vehicles.

Here is the text of his letter, only not as good as seeing it with official White House header:
Dear Madame Speaker:
Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed. We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate. I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown. Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial, that would certainly be your prerogative.
I look forward to seeing you soon and even more forward to watching our open and dangerous Southern Border finally receive the attention, funding, and security it so desperately deserves!
