The original term was “Judenhaßt” or Jew-hatred; “anti-Semitism” is a made up term to make it sound more PC (yeah they had that 150 years ago as well). It doesn’t even make any sense, as historically most of the enemies of Israelites were themselves Semitic peoples, as were most of the residents of that region. (Canaanites and their relatives, and Egyptians were Hamitic peoples, but Moab, Edom, Amalek, Ishmael were all Semites.)
