I just realized the political red/blue connotation with the red pill and the blue pill.

Yeah. I have derp moments sometimes.

Sometimes they last for decades.

That is all.

That's accidental. The Red Pill meme comes from The Matrix movie, which was written by a couple of Lefties. If they thought about it there's no way they would have made the red pill the "right" pill.

Recent fan theories suggested the red pill may represent an allegory for transgender people or a story of Lana Wachowski's and Lilly Wachowski's history as coming out as transgender. During the 1990s, the predominant Transgender hormone therapy involved Premarin, a red pill. Lilly Wachowski confirmed that this theory was correct in August of 2020.

I'm all for co-opting the degenerates' tools to use against them.

Which is why the Wachowski brothers would have never used the red/blue republican/Rat paradigm.

Oh. Totally understood the Matrix reference. Just never saw the Dem/Rep blue/red connotation.

I am derp.

I think the red/blue theme is also related to the Mason concept of the duality of dark and light. Checked floors, stripes, and patterns of opposing colors (esp. Black and white) represent material reality and the polarization of natural concepts like dark/light, male/female, hot/cold, right/wrong, up/down, positive/negative etc etc... This imagery is very popular in occult circles.

When I was a kid the colors were switched. The left used to be red but it made the communism too obvious.

Nope. Well documented. New color scheme normalized during the 2000 election.

And red pill/blue pill relates the The Matrix movie as well. One wakes you up the other lets you go back to sleep and be completely unaware

It's from the movie "The Matrix." If he takes the red pill, he finds out the truth. If he takes the blue pill, he keeps living the lie.

The Matrix was accidentally based. Lots of Christian themes as well. Not on purpose. The Wachowski brothers are as lefty as they come (now call themselves the Wachowski sisters...).
