Thank you Governor Ivey for leading the great state of Alabama through a successful and transparent election. Your willingness to always to do the right thing even through challenging times like this current pandemic, in the face of many critics, is appreciated and applauded. Your strength of character and wisdom is evident by your willingness to seek what's best for the citizens of Alabama while ensuring their constitutional freedoms are not compromised. Your position on keeping businesses open regardless of the pressure by other states is but one example of your commitment to our constitutional freedoms. Your "mask mandate" but directive to not enforce it is another example of your wisdom to strongly encourage Alabamians to take responsibility upon themselves while not infringing upon their right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
It's for these reasons I write to you in seeking your support to stand against the pressures of other states. The state of Texas just last night filed a law suit against the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin on grounds they violated both state and federal constitutions. I don't know if you have watched the testimonies of our fellow American citizens in these other states as they plead their cases before their state legislators, but their courage is admirable and inspiring. Their allegations are deeply troubling and the weight of their evidence grows by the day. If you've heard or read the responses by the judges to these cases then you know its not for lack of substance to the evidence but their unwillingness to take a stand. Its for this reason I beseech you to stand with the state of Texas in an appeal to the United States Supreme Court to ensure that the corruption of a few does not usurp the will of legal and lawful American citizens and the votes of your constituents in our state who overwhelming support President Donald J. Trump.
