No, but think about what you've just written: if the pope can convince his followers that the church has a moral and ethical duty to promote Marxism, how many of his followers would reject it and break with Catholicism?

It's not just an interesting hypothetical; it strikes at the very heart of what we're experiencing across the world, right now. Many of our institutions have been infiltrated by groupthink, political correctness and communist ideology and they're being used to subvert the public's will.

Organized religion is but one such institution. It's inherently collectivist (because people are brought together in its precepts) and the schism between left and right breaks directly through it. While individual Mormons may have voted for Trump, the church itself, as a social institution, teaches social harmony, social responsibility and social conciliation. Has the LDS church institution shown any particular support or even lukewarm regard for Trump??

The left's war against organized religion isn't a fluke, it's a feature of their ideology. Social cohesion is strong in church institutions, and loyalty to its moral and ethical content makes organized religion a formidable obstacle for statist collectivists. That's why they either try to infiltrate churches to bend them to their will, or smash them entirely. If the left can break these institutions, it renders individuals isolated and vulnerable to the statists.

Right after the controversial Supreme Court ruling, about COVID and worship, Elder Bednar spoke out against it. It is EXTREMELY rare for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints leaders to speak out about laws and they only do in dire times, such as this.

Elder Bednar continued, “While believers and their religious organizations must be good citizens in a time of crisis, never again can we allow government officials to treat the exercise of religion as simply nonessential. Never again must the fundamental right to worship God be trivialized below the ability to buy gasoline.”

The term "social justice" was coined by a Jesuit nun in the 1800s. To be fair, her original definition was a society where people would be free to do good and to live up to their virtue without oppression. Now, that phrase was commandeered by the Marxists to mean a society with equality of outcome.

In other words, the origin of the phrase may have had good intent, but has been turned into a weapon of evil. Unsurprisingly, the Jesuits were involved.
