I don't understand this claim. 5.5M have gotten it, I know...its probably 2X that. But 290k deaths against this infected show 5% die.

Context, pede. 40% of the total deaths are from nursing homes, which comprised about .6% of the US population. The deceased's average age is 80+, which is higher than the US's average life expectancy. This age group's survival rate is 95%, which would be higher if those commie governors didn't send the infected elderlies back to their respected facilities—no excess deaths.

If you are under 70, you have a 99% survival even if you were infected with no underlying conditions in good health. Btw, the death count directly caused by COVID is between 6K-10K, according to the CDC.
