Most of those blue counties are red

12
botknob 12 points ago +12 / -0

Kent County MI and Muskegon County MI both went Red this time. Trump won MI!

4
SyNiKaLiTy 4 points ago +4 / -0

From there, can confirm. Surprised at Muskegon really.. but still. I saw a grand total of 3 biden signs. I saw more vandalized Trump signs on ONE STREET than I saw Biden signs total.

That says something.

Oklahoma and Nebraska looks like great places to visit. Just saying!

6
kaluahmon 6 points ago +6 / -0

Tennessee's great as long as you avoid Memphis and Nashville.

2
TAIWANNUMBERONE 2 points ago +2 / -0

The former and current "country music industry" capitols but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

2
kaluahmon 2 points ago +2 / -0

So that's what happened to Memphis. Here I was blaming Mississippi.

2
TAIWANNUMBERONE 2 points ago +2 / -0

It became a hotspot for narcotics trafficking because it's on the Mississippi river. That's how Hank Williams and, to a lesser extent, Elvis died.

2
kaluahmon 2 points ago +2 / -0

That would explain a lot.

2
kaluahmon 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've really been enjoying these informative replies of yours for the past couple of weeks. Because of all the COVID BS I've been missing the factoid education that I'd been getting from the elder pede's at work.

Y-you too...

Nebraska is under-rated.

  1. Runza
  2. Germans from Russia museum www.ahsgr.org
  3. 1733 Ranch in Kearney - Lincoln Hwy

I have had a blast each of the 3 times I have visited that state - once I verified I was NOT from minneapolis :)

2
Proudly_Deplorable 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was really impressed with how nice people were in Nebraska when I was there.

1
JaneMN 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, very nice people!

menstreusel 0 points ago +1 / -1

Eh... Runza as an idea is great. The restaurant not so much. Also, NE is full, don't move he...um..THere. I meant there.

Alaska, it's always something!

5
capefog 5 points ago +5 / -0

Kind of a technicality, but Alaska is the only state that has no counties (Louisiana has parishes which serve the same function as counties in other states).

5
Margincrew 5 points ago +5 / -0

Learned more here than in school.

2
Alaskan 2 points ago +2 / -0

We have boroughs. And no one is taking Alaska. Lol. Mad props for Texas tho!

The South is gonna rattle again.

4
WhiskeyRebellion 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm ok with reestablishing the Republic of Texas, annexing the 45 states worth keeping, declaring DJT President for Life, and federalizing Chuck Norris.

2
kish-kumen 2 points ago +2 / -0

"...and federalizing Chuck Norris."

Nope, that's too much. I'm going democrat now.

3
DarkSamus61 3 points ago +3 / -0

wow plenty of farm land and access to oceans for food. And good luck to the blue counties transporting resources by land.

4
Margincrew 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just ask African traders in landlocked countries trying to negotiate through their 'lawless' neighbors. Port access is vital. Always has been.

5
DarkSamus61 5 points ago +5 / -0

True, however I see plenty of red counties that are on the ocean so if they all banded together those blue counties suddenly look like a bunch of awkward city states surrounding by red.

1
Margincrew 1 point ago +2 / -1

Then major catalyst seems to be universities. Logically speaking. They just happen to be on interstates. The red counties on the ocean might not 'have the culture needed' to satisfy the soulless beasts.

3
Testosteroneape2000 3 points ago +3 / -0

Look at the rot on the costal edges. It’s like a cancer.

1
kish-kumen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Strangely, it reminds me of the lens fungus on my old Pentax 50mm f1.8 after it got wet (and then accidentally fell out of the camera bag into the trunk and stayed there for a few weeks in ~90°F heat). Nasty stuff grew from the edges inward. I didn't want it to keep growing so i packed it in silica beads and put it under a UV lamp for a couple of days. Kinda looked like this:

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Objektiv_fungus.jpg

It did mess with the optics a little, it definitely had a 'softFX' thing going on and i didn't like it. Finally junked it and got a nicer AF.

Maybe we could do the same thing with the blue counties: pack 'em in silica beads and crank up the UV?

:D

Unironically if Texas became the capital of the US, I'd be okay with it. Fuck Washington DC, we need to ignore that swamp.

3
The_RedWolf 3 points ago +3 / -0

Texas: “we’ve got a lot of counties to tell no, wait where’s Alaska?”

Alaska: “fuck you, you small ass bitch.”

:)

Also "Don't Mess with Texas" is an anti littering slogan and trying to appropriate it for singing else didn't make you sound cool or patriotic, just makes you look kind of like a dork.

3
CornandSoybeans 3 points ago +3 / -0

Funny how there is always talk about Texas succeeding from the states and become its own country, and in the end it might be the state that saves it.

Blue counties seem to run along every major interstate freeway with universities being at the center of the counties. Coincidence?

1
Proudly_Deplorable 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're missing a hell of a lot of red counties that run along the interstates. Coincidence? Not surprising counties with universities are lighter red or even blue, considering what a bunch of leftist indoctrinators run them.

Kek. Either willfully blind or so brain-dead that you shouldn't be allowed on the internet. A waste of a human life either way.
