I have noticed the first thing they target with covid restrictions is alcohol and the sale of it. Whether it is closing bars or forbidding the sale of alcohol after 6pm they are unrelenting in their pursuit against it. I have even noticed a trend in media against alcohol in general. Weird.

High profit item. Most restaurants would fail if not for ABC licenses.

And naturally, bars can't operate without selling booze.

Control thing.

Yup. Add to that most bars (and restaurants) are small businesses.

They love alcohol. They want to prevent you from talking to your friends and comparing notes.

The American Revolution was born in the pubs of New England. They do not want us to free associate in a social setting where we may discuss politics.

They don't hate it. They want people to feel the pain of socialism without numbing agent.

I'm sure they keep huge supplies for themselves prior to restrictions setting in.

They would rather you smoked weed. It is less social.

Because when people drink they're less likely to follow social distancing guidelines.
