If I understand it correctly the lawsuit seeks that PA,MI,WI, and GA elections be voided and sent to their respective legislators to assign electoral college votes per the constitution.
We can be confident if the state legislatures don't follow the will of their voters that the words Texas BBQ will take on new meaning in Ga, PA, Mi and WI
Even with all the ballot cheating in Houston, Dallas and Austin, we elected a lot of RED to our state this year. If we clear up all this election fraud in Texas, it will never go blue. Also, a lot of cucks don't want to live here because of the bugs, snakes and heat so we're getting a lot of MAGA voters moving in who don't mind those things. The only thing that pulls in leftists are big tech companies moving here.
Someone on this site commented to me that Texas stayed Red only losing 100k votes. That is 100k votes in the wrong direction.
More people are flooding this state that vote Blue. I live in downtown Dallas and it is a hot bed of Blue flaky liberals who have no idea they are voting for their own destruction.
As Texans we need to put a stop to the Blue infection.
Not where I'm at north of Austin. Lots of critters around like possums, cayotes, bobcats and a few snakes, and lots of little lizards to eat the bugs. Haven't seen any scorpions but I've had some good sized hornets fly into my house. Pretty easy to bat out of the air with a tennis racquet. The biggest thing people complain about around here are the fire ants. They'll get you pretty good if you're bare foot in the grass.
Getting other states to join Texas in this is really important or this may die on the vine. Even though it has original and exclusive jurisdiction of state v. state claims, SCOTUS frequently denies a state leave to file its "bill of complaint." A majority of the justices must agree to accept the case (only four needed to grant certiorari). Plus the standard of proof is higher to win -- basically clear and convincing. If you want to educate yourself, here is a link to a law review article. https://lawrepository.ualr.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1399&context=appellatepracticeprocess
I agree, more states on this case is much more preferable to individual suits.
I’m not a lawyer, and from my understanding (correct me if I’m wrong) - The only issue is that article is about the appellate process which doesn’t apply here. There is no previous ruling from a lower court being appealed. Also certiorari isn’t required as there was no lower court in this matter.
As you stated, SCOTUS has “original” jurisdiction over inter-state matters such as this one and as SCOTUS has exclusive jurisdiction over these matters, it wouldn’t make any sense that they could deny such a suit as there is no other court to step in.
This is mostly correct. Cert is not a requirement. This is an original jurisdiction matter. It will be docketed and given due process. But, Liberty49220 is also correct. The motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is required. That motion will be heard (not summarily dismissed like in a cert case), but it is a procedural hurdle.
I frequently litigate cases in federal courts of appeal (not SCOTUS however). Based on my quick research, SCOTUS denies about half of the petitions it receives to invoke its original and exclusive jurisdiction. That's why a few more states intervening on the side of Texas will help. I'm not a doomer! But I think even the conservatives on SCOTUS would prefer that the states or Congress decide the election than SCOTUS, e.g. under the 12th Amendment.
Link to contact information for all Red State AG’s. I dug through each site and pulled the phone numbers, emails, and links to contact forms. Wouldn’t let me edit post after I started so all contact info is in thr comments. Contact them all!!
We're all Texans today. I called their AG office and thanked them for their lawsuit against the unconstitutional States. Also emailed my AG, and asked them to join the fight.
ok, so let's say SCOTUS rules in favor of Texas, then what happens, the state legislatures chooses the electoral votes?, how is that process handles, if they already certified the electoral votes, can they just re-certify in favor of biden?. How the ruling of SCOTUS in favor of Texas, favors Trump?
If Texas pulls this off, I'll get a Texas flag tattoo. I live in Ohio, by the way. LOL
Are there any theory to the outcome of this lawsuit?
Will SCOTUS invalidated electors?
If I understand it correctly the lawsuit seeks that PA,MI,WI, and GA elections be voided and sent to their respective legislators to assign electoral college votes per the constitution.
Our other path is that the legislators don't send any elector.
In that case we go to a contingent election in Congress where we should win
In the event of a contingent election, all 50 states get one vote, right?
Has there ever been a contingent election?
We can be confident if the state legislatures don't follow the will of their voters that the words Texas BBQ will take on new meaning in Ga, PA, Mi and WI
They represent the people. It’s up to the people (of those states) to let their voices be heard!
Call his office and tell him that! He's probably getting death threats and will need a morale boost.
I like hime even more.
I wonder how Texans feel about yankees waving their flag lol

Fucking Europeans will wave the Texas flag. The whole Western civilization is at stake.

This guy gets it
Contact your legislature. Make it clear to them what you want them to do.
So glad I live here. I call bullshit on Texas turning blue. Let’s see what it’s like when we stop the cheating.
Even with all the ballot cheating in Houston, Dallas and Austin, we elected a lot of RED to our state this year. If we clear up all this election fraud in Texas, it will never go blue. I've only been in the dessert, are bugs really bigger in Texas?
Not where I'm at north of Austin. Lots of critters around like possums, cayotes, bobcats and a few snakes, and lots of little lizards to eat the bugs. Investigate Tarrant County. Assume all blue wins are fraudulent and you might not be wrong.

Looks like Arkansas is on board. From the AG: https://twitter.com/AGRutledge/status/1336446041487499264
Can we have a class action suit as residents of these dumbass states?
Sidney Powell has mentioned doing one on behalf of residents of these cucked states. Maybe if folks in those states make enough noise it will happen!
Call and ask how much their fuckery, and thus having to defend themselves via a SCOTUS suit, is going to cost you as John Q. Taxpayer down the line.
I called my Idaho AG today. Keep calling em pedes! High pressure!
Tennessee where are you?
Called my rep earlier and the man who picked up said they're "considering all options" whatever that means. I think they need more phone calls.
I do not see where all the 'options' are, you have a YES or NO option. So once again, will you join the lawsuit with Texas?...
I actually moved to TX this past Thanksgiving. Does that count as support?
smart decision
Thanks. Especially I'm moving from SF (Pelosiland).
Haven't had time to soak it in yet, but at least we're allowed to walk around and gasp dine-in.
Make sure not to bring ANY baggage!!!
Louisiana here, we just got hit with multiple hurricanes, but we about to hit the democrat faggots 10 times harder
Heard you guys just joined Texas in filing the lawsuit. Kudos to Jeff Landry!

We're all Texans today. I called their AG office and thanked them for their lawsuit against the unconstitutional States. Also emailed my AG, and asked them to join the fight.
Three states have joined in, at this point red states are gonna feel peer pressured into joining this
And I emailed my AG's office asking him to get Utah on board
EDIT:
Fake news, no states have joined with Texas, pit pressure on to make it happen
God bless Texas
I remember the Alamo...even then we had some help from places like TN. Proud of my home state, give 'em hell!

My only question is why were AZ and NV spared?
Not sure, but my gut tells me this was in the works before they were big battlegrounds.
Just gave CA Gov. Newsom some MDMA and he said he’s in.
Sadly my state jumped the fraud train instead of the Trump train.
Texas is so fucking based. They are carrying the rest of the country on their backs right now.
Already got one 😆...... 💘the 🇺🇸 but TX is 🏡
What if I live in one of the shitholes being sued?
On the same boat pede. Pa here. My state reps are well and sick of me for sure.
