I used to wait for the release of any of the Mothers of Invention albums. I would save my money to buy them, then hide them as my mother thought they were degenerate trash and if she found them, she would throw them away. I don't know how many copies I bought of Freak Out and We're Only In It For The Money but they were worth every penny. She didn't bother Lumpy Gravy as it was mostly instrumental. Good memories.
You can search his name on line--I posted another quotation from him yesterday and it got a big response, people stepped up to give him compliments for being insightful, radical, talented etc.
Here's the post and thread from yesterday--check out some of the comments, and you'll get a good idea of who he was.
Frank Zappa was so great. Have you seen the Crossfire interview he did about "Hot for Teacher?" And happy to see you remembered your password, Mrs. Fonebone, I remember you from back in my early days here :)
Yeah, I did see that! You know, I have no idea what anyone is talking about re passwords--I never got bounced, never had to do anything but log in as usual. I obviously missed something! Did people also have to change user names?
I hope your memories are good ones...I hope Don Martin's in Heaven wondering why the Fonebone name is alive and well on the internetz!

Great memories! Hiding albums from the parents!
What? I didn't know that!
Sad!
He was, he died about 30 years ago though. If your husband is that good, he definitely knows who Zappa is.

Check out YouTube. His music was not mainstream, fabulous guitar player, good examples to check out would be San Bernardino, or Muffin Man.
sounds like a total degenerate
His father was intelligence, or former intelligence if I’m not mistaken.
Chemical warfare/chemistry type stuff, yes, secret stuff.

"Don't crush that dwarf! Hand me the pliers!"
We need a Frank today - God bless his based soul.

I had log in one time after whatever they did, but I remembered my password. Maybe you have it saved locally? And Don Martin knows why :)
Yes, Don knows! I log in and out everyday from a laptop and enter the pw each time, so it's in my brain memory card now.
Who are the brain police?
Fuck that socialist. He is a piece of rotting shit and is the reason why music television has degenerated to the point of satanic retardation.
Zappa was the farthest thing from a socialist. He made fun of the hippie bums.
He was a registered democrat who hated Christians and openly talked shit about Ronald Reagan
LOL, did Zappa screw your mom or something? Or do you have him confused with someone else? Heard a lot of things about Zappa but this is a first,
