Most Supreme Court cases aren't partisan in nature, though. Certainly not as hyper partisan as this one. This case would absolutely see a split, no different than Bush v Gore. Let's just hope there's not a Judas on the bench.
The PA lawsuit hasn’t been thrown out. The SC denied emergency injunctive relief, they didn’t throw the whole case away. The case itself is still pending.
I just checked Twitter and both NYT and WaPo are focused on the PA ruling with a possible misinterpretation of what SCOTUS actually did plus no mention of the TX case.
At this point everyone in the media is likely trying to figure out what to say since there might not be much they can say without tipping people off that this might actually get flipped. They may also be waiting for marching orders, you know China. They are in another time zone... aka, on the other side of the world, so maybe tomorrow someone will start reporting it? If China was my boss and I had a really important thing to say relating to their interests, I wouldn’t go saying anything until I clear it with them.
