Everyone: "Twitter sucks! Jack Dorsey sucks! They censor anyone telling the truth!"
5 Seconds Later: OMG!! BREAKING!! IT'S HAPPENING!!! HUGE!!! BOOM! [reposts a tweet]
Let's fess up. We've all done it. I'm not calling anyone out. There is a lot of important shit going down and we all want info. We're all fed up with the bullshit and want to see some news that things are breaking our way. We all want to share news when we see it. It doesn't make any of us bad people.
Let's face it though. There is a lot of bullshit out there. Even GEOTUS himself retweets some bullshit. (I think he gets a kick out sending liberals into collective hissy fits most of the time). Bottom line. Twitter isn't news. We all know it. We all bitch about it. It doesn't matter who tweets it. None of this is an attack on anyone... except Dorsey, who is a lying sack of shit.
So, here are two simple suggestions.
-
Wherever you get info from, take two seconds to run it back to a primary source before taking it as gospel. Sometimes the link is right there to primary source info. It doesn't matter if the person reporting it is someone you trust. I am no questioning them. I am saying that people make mistakes, especially when there is so much bullshit floating around and the media and social media is actively trying to suppress everything that doesn't fit their narrative.

When people question something, try not to get defensive. Both sides of this will fail because we're all stressed out and fed up with all the bullshit. Just try. If someone really is calling you out and being an ass, slap 'em down! However, slapping someone down is not "Shut up shill!" "Go back to CNN!" and banging downvote and deport buttons. If you followed suggestion 1, you're on solid ground. Smack them down with facts.
Off my soapbox. Everyone may proceed to downvoting me and calling me a shill.
It's posts like these that make me love this community. We piss about and like to have fun, but there is a serious desire to get things right and actually be informative to others.
We make us better, and the world better.
No downvoting here Pede, I regularly ask for sources and verification. 👍🏻
agreed.
No down vote.
u got my upvote. said the same when people thought they discovered elena parent counting votes. Such things lead to the left discrediting us on the things we get right. proper efforts for source checking are a must. If you cant do that, say the source could be fake. simple as that
THIS.
Forget the general left. They're annoying but little else. This is actually having a detrimental impact on court cases.
The easiest way to get a case dismissed is to give a judge a laundry list of similar cases that we dismissed. It spares the judge from having to make a decision and he gets cover from (and doesn't contradict) other judges.
Sadly, there are a lot of shit cases out there and cite the similar complaints but are just very poorly put together and have no realistic hope of winning. In NV, the State's attorney did exactly this and the judge copied and pasted it over to his decision. Same in PA. Same lots of places.
Bullshit, spam, and rumors help no one.
It's like these social media platforms are these bitches they tell themselves they can live without but the reality is they just keep on coming back for a lil bit... Just a lil bit they said it won't be all day...
Twatter doom scrolling .....
You can quit.... call 1-800-grow-some
Are you referring to his retweet today. That is certainly not bullshit. President Trump broke national election vote totals and the other side was forced to cheat too much. Making it almost, if not mathematically impossible to win. They cheated to an astronomical level.
Thus why the censorship is turned up to 11. Thus why the media has decided to block any mention of his argument. Thus why social media has suddenly become the minister of truth.
While I agree with your point that people need to vet the info they bring forth here, I do not doubt for one second that the cheat was on. The election was rigged from both external and internal sources. What plays out over the next twenty days will be a rollercoaster of madness. In the end, we prevail or lose our country. I do not think I am overreacting.
I'm not calling out anyone or any tweet in particular but if you're asking for an example, have a look at the "Rising" page. There are numbers posts about "6 states" or "7 states" or whatever. They're all wrong. They all link to the same two tweets that lack any info beyond making claims. No links to AG statements, briefs,... nothing.
Then, if you go to the AG websites, you find out that some, not all, put out a strongly worded letter of support (probably to try to stop the phones from ringing off the hook, but we can give them the benefit of the doubt if you want). Then we go to the SCOTUS site. No briefs. No filings. If anyone points this out some people get pissed off and take it as a personal attack or an attack on whoever their hero is that tweeted something... and it goes downhill from there.
For all else you wrote, I am right there with you.
Best I can gather is you are correct. These other states made press statements. They do seem encouraging in most cases that these states would file alongside Texas if necessary. You are correct though that the info being spread is false. These states have not formally filed, yet. 🤞
Fingers crossed here too.
And a statement of support is better than avoidance or 'get fucked'.
Listen, I support those who look at things rationally. Personally, I am annoyed AF with this place right now because it has become overwhelming to focus. So many posers, shills, trolls and flat out commies.
What makes me feel good is that if the left legit won, why such a propaganda campaign? Why hit this place so hard. We would be going on with our lives. They are trying to convince us they legit won.
Stay strong pede.
Well put, fren!
I agree. I don't have a problem with people posting a tweet, but it should be labeled as a rumor or something interesting instead of passing it off as fact. That way we can get people looking into it instead of everyone jumping on the "oh my gosh this has officially happened" bandwagon.
