I meant that given his personality -- I don't see William Wallace reacting to what he may perceive as "oppression" any differently regardless of the time frame in which it would occur.

As to "how" that would manifest -- it would depend on variables of location, opportunity, supporting numbers, etc.

In modern times, in the old West, in ancient Rome, William Wallace would be William Wallace.
